Talk about the opposite of “Bad Santa.”

Despite their breakup in 2003, the 46-year-old actress maintains contact with her ex Billy Bob Thorton’s son Harry. Every year, she writes Harry down on her holiday shopping list!

On Wednesday, January 12, Harry Thornton, the 66-year-old Arkansas native’s son, told Entertainment Tonight, “She still sends me Christmas gifts every year and stuff like that. I don’t talk to her on the phone every day but every now and then we talk. She was so cool!”

Prior to their breakup, Henry stated that Jolie was always coming up with fresh and exciting methods to entertain him and his brother William Thornton. He described the actress as “so cool,” saying, “She took us camping every week and she rented an RV one time and we went on a full camping trip.”

“She was just so fun for us back when we were younger. She was a lot of fun,” he continued.

Jolie was previously married to the Sling Blade actor from May 2000 to May 2003, and they have three children together: Harry and William with ex-wife Pietra Dawn Cherniak, Amanda with ex-wife Melissa Lee Gatlin, and Bella with wife Connie Angland.

“I never felt good enough for her,” Billy Bob told GQ of their breakup in November 2016, noting that Jolie’s zeal for global politics and humanitarian causes contrasted with his laid-back lifestyle. “I’m real uncomfortable around rich and important people. I like how I am.”

Despite their considerable age difference, the two remain friendly. In 2018, Billy Bob told the HFPA, “Angie is still a friend of mine and she’s a great person and she’s done so much. And I remember our time together has really been great. We just had different lifestyles. Hers is a global lifestyle and mine is an agoraphobic lifestyle. So that’s really, that’s the only reason we’re probably not still together.”

Meanwhile, Harry appeared on Entertainment Tonight to promote the new reality show “Relatively Famous: Ranch Rules,” in which he and seven other celebrity offspring forsake the high life for hard work as ranch hands.

Apart from Harry, the show also features Martin Lawrence’s daughter Jasmin, David Hasselhoff’s daughter Taylor, Ray Parker Jr.’s son Redmond, Bully Gunn’s son Austin, Shaquille O’Neal’s son Myles, Pat Benatar’s daughter Hana, and Neil Giraldo’s daughter Hana.

When it came to parental advice, Harry claims his father was brief and to-the-point.

“He said, ‘Don’t do anything embarrassing,'” Harry revealed, adding that he did not heed the advise of the Hollywood icon.

Meanwhile, Jasmin and Taylor’s parents were enthusiastic about the trip and wanted them to have a good time.

“He was really excited for me, and he was like, ‘I’m proud of you. Take the opportunity to step outside of your comfort zone and do something for someone else,'” Jasmin told ET. “I think that was really important to him.”

“He said to me, ‘Just go have fun. Live life to the fullest,'” Taylor shared what her 69-year-old dad said to her.

“Relatively Famous: Ranch Rules” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on E!.
