Andrew Garfield can only recall the “beautiful” moments from his tenure as Spider-Man.

Garfield appeared in two versions of ‘Spider-Man,’ the first dubbed The Amazing Spider-Man in 2012 and the second in 2014, in which he co-starred with Emma Stone, who portrayed Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker’s partner.

Andrew was questioned about his experience working on The Amazing Spider-Man movies in a new interview with Variety released on Wednesday, Sept. 8. Andrew is still overwhelmed with happy memories nearly seven years after the sequel was published.

The 38-year-old told the newspaper, “It was only beautiful. I got to meet Emma [Stone] and work with her and Sally Field.”

“We care a lot for each other, and that is a fact, that is unconditional,” Garfield stated of his present relationship with Stone. “There’s so much love between us and so much respect. … I’m her biggest fan as an artist. So for me, it’s been bliss to be able to watch her success and watch her bloom into the actress that she is. And it’s been wonderful to have that kind of support for each other.”

Garfield also mentioned having “karma” with Amy Pascal, the president of Sony Pictures at the time, whom he referred to as “a mother figure.”

“We would fight, but ultimately, we loved each other on a deep level,” he recalled. “We tried to meet as much in the middle as we could in terms of why I wanted to do this role, and what her needs were as the head of the studio.”

Tom Holland is the latest actor to take on the role of Spider-Man. Despite widespread anticipation that Garfield or his Spider-Man predecessor, Tobey Maguire, might appear in Holland’s forthcoming Marvel film, the actor shot down such claims during the interview.

He told the site, “I understand why people are freaking out about the concept of that because I’m a fan as well. You can’t help but imagine scenes and moments of ‘Oh, my God, how f—king cool would it be if they did that?’ But it’s important for me to say on the record that this is not something I’m aware I am involved in. But I know I’m not going to be able to say anything that will convince anyone that I don’t know what’s happening. No matter what I say, I’m f—ked. It’s either going to be really disappointing for people or it’s going to be really exciting.”

Garfield is presently preparing for his next leading part, which will be in a musical drama. Alexandra Shipp, Vanessa Hudgens, Robin de Jess, Joshua Henry, Judith Light, and Bradley Whitford will star alongside her in Tick, Tick… Boom! The debut will take place on the Netflix platform in November.
