Keanu Reeves brought the finest date to the Oscars in 2020: his lovely mother.

Reeves, 55, will present an award during the ceremony, where the animated film, Toy Story 4, an animated picture in to which he lent his voice, is nominated for Best Animated Feature.

Keanu and his 76-year-old mother Patricia Taylor’s photos went viral on the internet. Some online users said that the actor was behaving like a “perfect” son who clearly adores his mother. The mother and son wore matching white and black outfits that went well together.

Keanu chatted to E!’s Ryan Seacrest about what’s in store for tonight and how he felt working on the animated Pixar film Toy Story 4 as he arrived on the red carpet.

“It’s getting chaotic on the red carpet,” Ryan said to the actor. “I think the chaos is fun,” Keanu said. Ryan also inquired about how it felt to have hundreds of people chanting his name as he walked down the red carpet. “It’s very kind, very nice,” Keanu said in response.

Reeves was not about to give up any secrets about the upcoming Matrix 4, think again. He stayed quiet, and even his mom kept her lips zipped.

Taylor told Ryan Seacrest that she “only [knows] about “Matrix 1, 2, and 3,” implying that not even her own son had told her about the project.

When Ryan asked Keanu if working on an animated picture was more relaxing or more demanding than working on a live-action film, Keanu replied, “it’s not either more or less challenging, it’s just… I mean, you can’t use your face or your facial expressions, so you’re losing part of the toolkit. But it was a lot of fun to do.”

Despite the fact that the “John Wick” actor and online sensation was not nominated for any Oscars this year, people on Twitter praised Reeves for his cute date choice.

“It says a lot about him as a person,” this Twitter user wrote. “Keanu Reeves taking his mom to the Oscar’s!!! She must be a very proud mom.”

Many fans anticipated Reeves, 55, to walk the carpet with his rumored girlfriend, artist Alexandra Grant, 47, with whom he began appearing publicly only a year ago. They were seen holding hands at the LACMA Art + Film Gala in November, and a source told People at the time that he and Grant were still going strong.

In November, a source informed the publication that the “John Wick” actor “wants to openly share his life with her.” “He is extremely happy and grateful to have Alex in his life.”
