Angelina Jolie was photographed smoking a cigarette on a hotel balcony in Sydney following a fierce argument with her husband Brad Pitt, according to reports.

The 39-year-old, who has had a double mastectomy as a cancer prevention measure, was spotted with a cigarette in her hand, according to dailymail.co.uk.

This happened after what seemed to be a heated conversation with her husband Brad Pitt.

On November 17, the pair was photographed on the InterContinental Hotel’s patio, with Brad gesturing with his hands before walking away.

‘When Brad threw his arms up, you could see the frustration on his face,’ a witness told In Touch. ‘He was clearly exasperated with her. They kept talking over each other and putting their hands up in anger. They were upset but getting nowhere.’

As he chatted with his wife, the Fury star sported a sassy hat and dark shades. Jolie leaned on a railing throughout the conversation.

The actress wore a grey T-shirt and a grey sweater around her waist, looking tight and on edge.

Jolie, 39, has said of her marriage: ‘We have moments where I say, “I’m going to be a better wife”. Brad knows my limitations.’

Her mother, Marcheline Bertrand died of ovarian cancer at the age of 56 in 2007, six years before the procedure.

‘Brad doesn’t want her smoking – at all,’ another source told InTouch.

When the pair left their hotel in Sydney to attend the Australian premiere of Jolie’s film Unbroken, the grins were back on their faces. Brad, 50, though, was absent at the film’s London premiere on Tuesday.
