Kaley Cuoco, who rose to fame on the popular sitcom “The Big Bang Theory,” has opened up about her unusual living arrangement with her husband Karl Cook.
The couple does not live together, but Cuoco has assured fans that they are working on it.
She revealed that they are in the process of building their dream home and will eventually live under the same roof permanently.
Cuoco, 33, and Cook, 28, are not the only couple to take this unconventional route.
Actress Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband Brad Falchuk, who married in September 2018, have also chosen to live apart until recently.
Paltrow revealed in an interview with In Style that they took a year to let their families adjust to their new lives before moving in together.
Despite their decision to live apart, Cuoco insists that she and Cook have a happy and healthy marriage.
She explained that their unusual living arrangement works well for them because they both have busy schedules and different locations to be in.
“We have a very unconventional marriage…we’re not together every single day and I think, personally, it’s important,” she said.
Cuoco also revealed that she and Cook enjoy teasing each other on social media, particularly on Instagram.
Cook, a champion equestrian, is known for his funny posts featuring Cuoco.
“He loves his Instagram posts. He’s his biggest fan,” Cuoco joked.
In a previous interview with Women’s Health, Cuoco had spoken about her finances and her independence.
She revealed that she does not depend on Cook for anything and that she would be perfectly fine if he were to leave her.
“If Karl left me tomorrow, I’d be fine. And he knows that, and he would be fine too,” she said.
Cuoco has been open about her personal life since her split from ex-husband Ryan Sweeting in 2015.
She has credited her love for horses as a source of comfort during difficult times.
She also revealed that her love for animals and horseback riding played a big role in her decision to marry Cook, who shares the same passion.
Cuoco and Cook got engaged on Cuoco’s 32nd birthday in November 2017 and tied the knot in a private ceremony in June 2018.
The couple has been going strong ever since, despite their unconventional living arrangement.
Cuoco has been busy since the end of “The Big Bang Theory” in 2019.
She executive produced and starred in the HBO Max series “The Flight Attendant,” which was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards.
She is also set to star in the upcoming thriller “The Man from Toronto” alongside Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson.
