On Wednesday night, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck had a tense moment on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of J.Lo’s new movie “The Mother”.
The couple was spotted having an intense conversation before they snapped into love mode for the cameras.
They both looked serious initially, but then they were seen sharing a smooch in front of the paparazzi.
At one point, Ben Affleck held up his pointer finger at his wife, seemingly indicating that they were having an argument.
However, as soon as they stepped onto the red carpet, they kicked it into lovebird gear and continued to giggle and show PDA.
Affleck even lovingly watched as Lopez reapplied her lip gloss.
During the outing, Lopez wore a shimmery cream duster layered over a matching skirt and bra set, and she accessorized with big gold hoop earrings and a pearly clutch.
Affleck, on the other hand, looked somewhat disheveled, rocking a scruffy beard and messy hair, and he wore no tie with his black suit.
This is not the first time that the couple has been seen looking rigid with one another.
They were roasted online after Lopez was seen ordering a miserable-looking Affleck to pull it together and look happier at the 2023 Grammys in February.
Despite this, sources assured Page Six that Affleck had been in a great mood backstage that night.
Another source added that “He gave Fat Joe a big bro hug.
He was very happy to see him.
He was in a really good mood.”
Affleck addressed the awkward moment caught on camera, telling The Hollywood Reporter in March, “I had a good time at the Grammys.” He further added, “It is your wife’s work event.”
J.Lo and Affleck dated in the early 2000s and got engaged for the first time in 2002.
They postponed their wedding due to the pressures of dating in the spotlight and ultimately broke up in 2004.
They both went on to marry other people, but after their respective marriages ended and seeing other people, they rekindled their love in 2021.
They got engaged for the second time in April 2022, and this time it stuck as they tied the knot in a Las Vegas wedding that July and again with a lavish ceremony at Affleck’s 87-acre Georgia estate last August.
Since tying the knot, they have blended their families, as Lopez shares 15-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, and Affleck shares three kids — Violet, 17, Seraphina, 14, and Samual, 11 — with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
Lopez praised Affleck for being an incredible father on “The View” earlier this month, saying that “He’s an amazing dad.
It brings tears to my eyes.
He is honestly the best dad I’ve ever seen.”
Despite their awkward moments, J.Lo and Affleck seem to be going strong.
They even made headlines with their steamy performance at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2022.
