Prince Archie, the eldest child of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, received a special birthday gift that brought him a lot of joy.
The young prince celebrated his fourth birthday on May 6 at the family’s Montecito mansion with his mother and sister Princess Lillibet.
A party was also organised to mark the occasion.
Amongst his presents was a bike that was hand delivered to him by the British owner of a bike shop based in the plush neighbourhood where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reside.
Jennifer Blevins, who owns the Mad Dogs and Englishmen store with her English partner Martin, got up extra early on May 6 and had the spontaneous thought to get a gift for the royal on his and his grandfather’s big day.
She went to her shop and picked out one of their little specialised kids’ bikes that are really nice and have training wheels.

Jennifer also got some birthday balloons, flowers for Meghan, and a birthday card.
She then biked over to the couple’s mansion and handed over the present to the security guards working for the Duke and Duchess.
The security guards were more than happy to pass the present on to the couple, who were delighted by the gift.
Jennifer received a message of thanks from Harry and Meghan, which she shared on the official Mad Dogs Instagram page.
The letter expressed their sincere thanks for the thoughtful gift and conveyed their gratitude at the lovely surprise.
They also mentioned that the bike has brought much joy to their family.
According to Martin, Jennifer’s husband, a courier came by their little shop on Coast Village Road and dropped off the letter.
Martin said he wasn’t expecting it and was making a joke about it being a thank you letter.
He was thrilled when he realised that it was indeed a thank you letter and not just a generic one.
Martin also added that the bike is perfect for both Archie and his younger sister Lilibet as she grows.
The Duke of Sussex managed to make a whistlestop trip back to the UK for his father’s coronation and then returned to California in time to celebrate Archie’s birthday.
The young prince received many gifts, but the bike from Jennifer and Martin’s store took pride of place amongst them.
The couple’s Montecito mansion has become their permanent home after they stepped back from their roles as working royals and moved to North America.
They have been living there since mid-2020 with their two children.
The house is situated in a plush neighbourhood that is home to many celebrities and wealthy individuals.
Harry and Meghan are known for their love of bikes and cycling.
They have been spotted riding their bikes in and around their neighbourhood on several occasions.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently working on several projects, including a mental health series for Apple TV+ and a book on fatherhood.
They have been very active in philanthropy and charity work, and have established several organisations to support causes that are close to their hearts.
