Tom Holland, the popular English actor known for his portrayal of Spiderman in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has revealed that he accidentally kicked a stuntman in the face while filming a scene for the movie, Uncharted.
The incident occurred during the airplane action sequence, which is one of the most iconic scenes in the film.
Holland, who played the lead role of Nathan Drake in the movie, stated that it was the toughest sequence he had ever filmed due to the fact that they shot it vertically in order to simulate the feeling of flying through the air.
He also added that the wirework had worked out in such a way that he was closer to the stuntman than usual, resulting in the accidental kick to the face.
In an interview, Holland expressed his regret for the incident and acknowledged his lack of judgment.
However, he did mention that the stuntman was okay and tough as nails, being an ex-UFC fighter.
Uncharted, which received mixed reviews from fans and critics alike, grossed nearly $401.7 million worldwide and was considered a huge success at the box office.
The movie follows the adventures of Nathan Drake, a treasure hunter who travels the world in search of lost artifacts.
Aside from his role in Uncharted, Holland has also starred in several other successful films, including the Spiderman trilogy and Captain America: Civil War.
His performances have earned him recognition as one of the most successful actors of his generation, with Spiderman: Far From Home and Spiderman: No Way Home grossing over $1 billion at the box office.
Interestingly, Holland has previously mentioned that the airplane sequence in Uncharted was the toughest scene he had ever filmed.
Even though they weren’t hanging off the side of a plane, the sequence was still challenging due to the vertical shooting style.
Uncharted is currently available for streaming on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, providing viewers with the opportunity to witness Holland’s impressive acting skills in action.
