Former “Drake & Josh” star Drake Bell has been sentenced to two years of probation after pleading guilty to felony attempted child endangerment and a misdemeanor charge of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.

The Cuyahoga County judge also ordered Bell, whose real name is Jared Drake Bell, to complete 200 hours of community service and have no contact with the victim.

The charges against Bell stem from a 2017 incident involving a then-15-year-old girl who attended one of his concerts in Cleveland. The victim filed a complaint with Canadian police in 2018, prompting an investigation in Ohio.

During the sentencing, the victim said that Bell began “grooming” her when she was 12, eventually sending her explicit messages once she turned 15.

The victim, who is now 19, said that she was one of the “Drake & Josh” star’s “biggest fans”.

In a Zoom statement before the sentencing, Bell offered an apology. “I accept this plea because my conduct was wrong,” Bell said. “I’m sorry the victim was harmed. It was not my intention.”

The victim, who attended the hearing via Zoom, said that she was “devastated” by Bell’s actions. “I would have done anything for him,” the victim said, later calling Bell a “pedophile” and a “coward”.

Bell is best known for his role on Nickelodeon’s comedy “Drake & Josh”, opposite costars Josh Peck and Miranda Cosgrove.

His first major role was on “The Amanda Show” in the late ’90s, and Bell later guest-starred in several other Nickelodeon shows like “iCarly” and “Zoey 101”.

Bell’s career has been on the decline in recent years, and he has struggled with substance abuse and legal issues.

In addition to the child endangerment charges, Bell has also faced other legal troubles in the past. In 2018, he was arrested for driving under the influence, and in 2019, he was arrested for domestic violence.

These charges were later dropped due to lack of evidence. Despite these challenges, Bell has continued to act and perform music. He released his fifth studio album, “Forever” in 2020.

The child endangerment charges against Bell have shocked and saddened many of his fans.

Many have expressed their disappointment and disgust on social media, with some calling for a boycott of Bell’s music and shows.

The incident has also raised questions about the way that celebrities and public figures interact with their fans, and the need for greater awareness and protection for young people.

Bell is still optimistic about his future. In a recent interview, he said that he is focused on rebuilding his career and moving forward.

“I’m just trying to get back on track and do what I love, which is making music and entertaining people,” he said.

Bell also expressed regret for his past actions and said that he is committed to making amends and changing his ways.

“I’m really trying to turn my life around,” he said. “I’m taking it one day at a time and trying to do better.”
