In 1992, Kate Moss and Mark Wahlberg worked together in an infamous Calvin Klein photoshoot that led to a nervous breakdown for the model.

Despite the shoot skyrocketing Moss’ career, she regretted doing it due to feeling uncomfortable and not like herself during the shoot.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Moss admits she had to take two weeks off after the shoot, as she couldn’t get out of bed due to anxiety.

According to fashion designer Calvin Klein, Moss and Wahlberg couldn’t stand each other during the shoot.

Although the ad became iconic and propelled Moss to fame, the shoot left her feeling bad and uncomfortable.

She felt like a different person during the shoot, and even Wahlberg admits he could have been nicer to her.

Moss’ anxiety became so intense that she went straight to the doctor to seek help.

However, she was prescribed Valium, which her friend Francesca Sorrenti discouraged her from taking.

Moss explained that nobody took care of her mental health, and there was massive pressure to do what she had to do.

She says, “It was just really weird—a stretch limo coming to pick you up from work.

I didn’t like it.

But it was work, and I had to do it.”

For Wahlberg, his behavior towards Moss during the shoot was “rough around the edges.” He admits to The Guardian that he wasn’t very worldly at the time, but has seen Moss since and exchanged pleasantries.

He also acknowledges making terrible mistakes and paying dearly for them.

Although Moss and Wahlberg didn’t get along during the shoot, they have moved on from their beef and exchanged pleasantries after running into each other.

In a 2017 interview with W Magazine, Moss even calls Wahlberg “a nice guy.”

The infamous Calvin Klein photoshoot remains a controversial moment in fashion history, as it led to both fame and trauma for Kate Moss.

Despite the shoot being a turning point in her career, it’s clear that the experience left a lasting impact on the model.
