Batman, that’s a blazing’ hot trailer! In the new teaser for The Batman, unveiled Saturday, October 16 at DC’s Fandome event, Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne and Zöe Kravitz’s Selina Kyle got fans thrilled.

Stars from movies, TV programs, and comic books joined together for the second annual virtual event for DC Comics fans to deliver breaking news and drop new material. Pattinson, 35, and Kravitz, 32, were in attendance to view the new trailer for Matt Reeves’ The Batman. “Fear is a tool,” Pattinson says in a Bruce Wayne-style American accent. “It’s not just a call when that light goes up in the sky..” It’s a cautionary note. ”

Batman goes full gumshoe to uncover clues left by the enigmatic Riddler, who seems to be the film’s major danger. Reeves has described his idea for the picture as a “almost noir-driven, detective version of Batman,” and the teaser confirms this.

Pattinson’s relationship with Kravitz’s Catwoman was emphasised in the teaser. She assures the young superhero, “I can take care of myself.”

The trailer begins with a sort of conundrum, as cops enter a cafe in search of Paul Dano, who plays The Riddler in the film and appears to be causing a lot of mayhem for Gotham City’s Caped Crusader.

“Who are you down there?” Kravitz’s Catwoman inquires. Pattinson’s Batman responds, “I’m vengeаnce.”

In supporting parts, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, and Andy Serkis appear in the highly anticipated DC superhero film, which is the latest in a long series of Batman cinematic entries.

Director Matt Reeves said during DC Comics’ virtual FanDome event in 2020 that the picture depicts Batman in his “early days” when Bruce Wayne is “very far from being perfect.”

“One of the things that are interesting is learning how to be Batman. It’s a criminological experiment. He’s trying to figure out what he can do to change this place,” said Reeves. “He’s seeing he’s not having any of the effect he wants to have. That’s when the murders start to happen … and it opens up a whole new world of corruption. Without being an origin tale, it ends up touching on his origins.”

Before the trailer was released, Pattinson stated that his version of Batman is “radically different from anything we have seen in Batman movies before.”

He continued, “He’s really working out this rage. All his fights seem so personal.”

Apparently, despite his isolation from the rest of the world, this is what draws Bruce to Selinа. “Cаtwomаn wаnts to fight for those who don’t hаve аnyone else fighting for them,” Krаvitz sаid. “It’s there thаt she аnd Bаtmаn hаve а reаl connection.”

Pattinson, who has successfully left his Twilight teen idol past with interesting parts in more challenging films like Tenet and Good Time, will be donning the Batman cowl for the first time.

The Batman is scheduled to hit cinemas on March 4, 2022.
