Gal Gadot has disclosed that the way Joss Whedon talked to her when she had reservations about her character in the Justice League script made her feel “dizzy” and “shocked.”

In a recent interview, Gadot discusses charges she previously made that Justice League director Joss Whedon “threatened [her] career.”

The Wonder Woman actress, 36, earlier claimed in May that Whedon, 57, made the threat while filming on the 2017 superhero film, saying “that if I do something, he will make sure my career is miserable, and I took care of it on the spot.”

In a Monday interview with Elle magazine, the star addressed the alleged event again, claiming she began “shaking trees as soon as it happened.” She says that after she protested, Warner Bros. management took care of the matter.

Gadot collaborated with Whedon on the 2017 DC blockbuster Justice League after Zack Snyder was forced to step down.

“You’re dizzy because you can’t believe this was just said to you,” she said.

“And if he says it to me, then obviously he says it to many other people. I just did what I felt like I had to do. And it was to tell people that it’s not OK.”

Added Gadot, “I just did what I felt like I had to do. And it was to tell people that it’s not okay.”

The star said she “would’ve done the same thing, I think, if I was a man” too: “Would he tell me what he told me had I been a man? I don’t know. We’ll never know. But my sense of justice is very strong.”

“I was shocked by the way that he spoke to me. But whatever, it’s done. Water under the bridge,” she said.

The actress stated that she did what she believed she had to do, which was to raise the alarm about Whedon’s behavior on set. But, as Gadot stated, this isn’t the director’s first time being accused of inappropriate behavior.

Ray Fisher, who plays Cyborg in “Justice League,” has also accused Whedon of unethical behavior on many occasions.

Fisher discussed his multiple charges against Whedon and the officials in control at Warner Bros., as well as Gadot’s poor relationship with their director while working on Justice League.

While Fisher sparked an inquiry at WarnerMedia after claiming Whedon was “was gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable,” Gadot had multiple difficulties with Whedon as well. WarnerMedia’s official inquiry, overseen by retired federal judge Katherine Forrest, resulted in “remedial action.”

According to a tweet posted by Fisher in December, WarnerMedia informed him that “remedial action” had been taken and issued him a statement saying, “WarnerMedia appreciates you having the courage to come forward and assist the company in creating an inclusive and equitable work environment for its employees and partners.”

According to a Hollywood Reporter piece from April 2021, Whedon became enraged when Gadot questioned fresh lines of dialogue the filmmaker had given her heroic character.

According to a witness, Whedon “bragged” about having “had it out” with the actor following one of their fights. “He told her he’s the writer and she’s going to shut up and say the lines and he can make her look incredibly stupid in this movie,” the witness said.
