Mia Khalifa has branded ‘Wonder Woman’ Gal Gadot ‘Genocide Barbie’ for her comments on the Israel-Palestine dispute.

Gadot’s stand on the conflict’s most ferocious escalation in over a decade has been criticized by the Lebanese-American former adult actress and pro-Palestinian activist.

“We asked for the #SnyderCut, not Genocide Barbie,” Khalifa tweeted earlier this week in response to HBO’s announcement of the Wonder Woman 1984 actress’s comeback to the streaming service.

Gadot was chastised for ambiguity in her statement, as well as the fact that she never refers to Palestine by name.

The Wonder Woman star, one of Israel’s most well-known actresses, criticized the fighting on Instagram on May 13 and stated that both Israel and its neighbors deserved to be a “free and safe nation.”

“My heart breaks,” she wrote. “My country is at war. I worry for my family, my friends. I worry for my people. This is a vicious cycle that has been going on for far too long. Israel deserves to live as a free and safe nation, our neighbors deserve the same. I pray for the victims and their families, I pray for this unimaginable hostility to end, I pray for our leaders to find the solution so we could live side by side in peace. I pray for better days.”

Gadot’s comments enraged Twitterati, who lambasted the actress on the microblogging site, accusing her of being a “propaganda” tool for Israel.

According to Fox News Gadot disabled comments on her Tweet when individuals began making derogatory remarks about her, including references to her stint in the Israeli Defense Forces. For wishing Israel peace, some individuals accused her of advocating for “ethnic cleansing” and “mass genocide”

Yair Netanyahu, the son of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, responded to the message by saying that the actress was behaving more Swiss than Israeli with her statements, referring to Switzerland’s history of neutrality in a number of wars.

“The models of Palestinian descent Gigi and Bella Hadid, with millions of followers, have been conducting antisemitic propaganda against Israel 24/7 since the beginning of the mess,” he said on Twitter.

“The only Israeli figure, with the same number of followers, and with the power of an international celeb, who can give them a fight in publicity is Gal Gadot. She chose to write a neutral post as if she was from Switzerland.”

Mia Khalifa, 28, was born in Lebanon. Gal Gadot, 36, was born in Israel. Despite the fact that both ladies now live in the United States, the two nations in where they were born have a history of conflict. While Gal Gadot has remained neutral on the escalating crisis between Israel and Palestine, Mia Khalifa has spoken out in favor of the Palestinians.

In 2014, after another wave of combat in her nation, Gadot posted in support of the troops.

“I am sending my love and prayers to my fellow Israeli citizens,” she posted on Facebook. “Especially to all the boys and girls who are risking their lives protecting my country against the horrific acts conducted by Hamas, who are hiding like cowards behind women and children… We shall overcome!!! Shabbat Shalom! #weareright #freegazafromhamas #stopterror #coexistance #loveidf”

Inevitably, Twitter weighed in on Mia Khalifa’s “Genocide Barbie” remark against Gal Gadot, igniting a fresh conversation.

One Twitter user wrote: “The internet is angry at Gal Gadot and ready to cancel her whole career. Why? Because she’s a IDF veteran, meaning she did 2 years of MANDETORY service to the Israeli Army before she moved to the states and became an actress. She also had the audacity to call for peace in M.E.”

To which another responded: “No. They’re mad because she defends IDF’s occupation and refuses to acknowledge Palestinians’ existence. I’ve known a handful of IDF veterans who are critical of the occupation. She’s openly supportive of it.”

“How is this Gal’s fault?” one observer asked Mia.

“What do you want her to do? Fight against her own government?,” the person tweeted before positing that Gadot could become a target if she had said anything else. “Do you know what happened to the last president of Israel that signed the peace deal in 1993??? She could get killed by right wing extremist group.”

Khalifa’s retort? “Thank you for clarifying the tyrannical nature of the Israeli government. I did not know that, that is wild. *feigns shock*”

In recent days, a number of celebrities have posted pro-Palestinian statements on social media; however, some, such as Lewis Hamilton and Kendall Jenner, have since erased their posts.
