One man got more than he bargained for when he tried to take a picture with Mia Khalifa, the former adult actress from Lebanon.
The man, from San Antonio, Texas, snapped a selfie with Khalifa without asking, and she responded by punching him in the face.
The man, who goes by the Twitter handle @FourthTigerClaw, posted the picture and a picture of his bruised face on the social media platform on Friday night.
“Got a pic with Mia Khalifa and she punched me in the face and left a bruise,” he wrote, followed by two laughing emojis.
As of Tuesday night, the tweet had been liked at least 9,000 times and retweeted at least 3,700 times. Other fans of Khalifa responded to the tweet by posting their own pictures with her, without any injuries.
One such fan, @modest_maya, tweeted in response, “Can’t relate lol,” and included a friendly selfie she had taken with Khalifa.
Another user, @A_M1LL1, added, “Same here. Can’t relate lol,” and also included a smiling selfie with Khalifa. Khalifa even got involved in the conversation on Monday, replying to @modest_maya’s tweet.
“You were the sweetest. Thank you for asking me nicely rather than jumping in front of me while I was walking & shoving a cam in my face,” she wrote.
This is not the first time Khalifa has made headlines for publicly shaming someone. Last year, she posted screengrabs on Twitter of former Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly’s attempts to seduce her by repeatedly asking her to FaceTime him.
Khalifa was born in Beirut, Lebanon, and moved to the United States at a young age. She began her career in the adult film industry in October 2014 and quickly gained a large following.
She retired from the industry in 2015, but remains a popular figure on social media. She has over 20 million followers on Instagram and over 1 million followers on Twitter.
Khalifa is known for her activism, particularly in relation to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. She has publicly expressed support for the Palestinian cause and has criticized the Israeli government’s treatment of Palestinians.
She has also been critical of the Lebanese government and has spoken out against corruption and human rights abuses in the country.
Despite her activism, Khalifa has faced backlash and criticism from some quarters. She has received death threats from ISIS and has been targeted by online trolls and cyberbullies.
In addition to her physical altercation with the fan in San Antonio, she has also been involved in several other high-profile feuds and controversies.
Khalifa remains a popular figure and continues to speak out on issues she cares about. She has also ventured into other fields, such as sports commentary and acting.
In 2017, she made a cameo appearance in the television series “The Big Bang Theory,” and has also hosted sports-related programs on Complex News.
