Keanu Reeves has earned a reputation for being a “good guy.” People are now realizing that the 54-year-old’s niceness extends beyond his spontaneous acts of kindness – he also respects ladies by avoiding touching them in photographs.

A tweet has gone viral showing Reeves posing with many ladies, including Dolly Parton, with his arm behind their backs and his hand hanging over their arms or waists.

“Lol Keanu ain’t taking no chances,” tweeted Kemoy Lindsay, the first to notice.

Kemoy backed up their claim with a photo montage of Keanu posing for photos with female admirers but refusing to wrap his arms around their waists, keeping them firmly in the air.

The tweet has now received over 384,000 likes.

It’s possible that Reeves was simply raised to be courteous. Reeves remarked in a 2011 BBC interview that the one English attribute he inherited from his mother, who is from the United Kingdom, was manners.

Whatever his motivation, the internet finds it adorable. Reeves was dubbed “The Respectful King.” by some.

One Twitter user speculated that Reeves is following a South Korean etiquette rule: “Hover hands” is a sign of excellent politeness there.

‘It’s not about not taking chances,’ Kemoy remarked, praising Keanu for being aware of women’s personal space. ‘It’s about being considerate and respectful, qualities that Keanu carries in spades.’

“He’s respectful,” another individual tweeted, echoing the notion. “This should be how it’s done unless ya know the woman doesn’t mind being touched. Keanu should inspire us all.”

“He’s being respectful, and I’m here for it!!” commented a third supporter.

He’s previously addressed viral trends regarding himself. In 2011, he made a tongue-in-cheek reference to the “Sad Keanu” meme — a snapshot of Reeves on a park seat with a despondent expression — in his book. In “Ode to Happiness,” he writes, “I draw a hot sorrow bath… in my despair room.” His literary book’s over-the-top sarcasm leads to laughter.

Reeves has been around for a while, but with the release of his newest “John Wick” picture, his involvement in the Netflix rom-com “Always Be My Maybe” and his voice performance in “Toy Story 4,” the affection for him has grown.
