Britney Spears claims paparazzi edited her photos to make her look overweight, but the photo agency in question denies any wrongdoing.

The 37-year-old singer vented her displeasure on Instagram, saying that images from her previous appearance in Miami had been altered by a photo agency.

Spears stated in a video she shared to her Instagram Stories on Sunday, sporting a pink bikini top identical to the ones in the photographs, “A lot of fans, in our world today, they always are subject to really criticize people and say that the pictures and videos that they’re posting are either not on time or they’re fake. But no one ever really asks, ‘Are the paparazzi pictures fake, and do the paparazzi people do stuff to the pictures, and is the news really real?’ It’s a conspiracy theory that I’m actually interested in.”

She goes on to say that in a recent series of paparazzi images, she feels she appears “40 pounds bigger.” She appears to be referring to a set of images shot by The Mega Agency when she was on a boat and published in the Daily Mail.

She also said she looked “haggard” since she had just gotten off a jet ski and her eyeliner had smudged.

According to E! News, Spears wrote in her Instagram story, “Yesterday I went swimming, I look like I’m 40 pounds bigger than I am today. This is how I am right now, and I’m skinny as a needle. You tell me, what is real?”

MEGA, the picture agency that shot the photographs, told Page Six the following.

“We think Britney looks great and it’s ludicrous to suggest the photos or video were altered in any way,” a business official stated. “They were not. We shot thousands of photos of her over the weekend and are very happy to let her see the original files if she so wishes. It was good to see her happy and having fun and we wish her well.”

Spears has been in treatment since leaving a mental health facility to deal with the stress linked with her father’s health concerns. She has always been exceptionally fit, especially after beginning her engagement with trainer and model Asghari. The pop star and her family have allegedly been at war over the conditions of her conservatorship since then.

Meanwhile, some believe Spears is involved in yet another conspiracy theory. Fans have hypothesized that the singer’s father, Jamie Spears, who oversees her conservatorship, and her management team are putting old stuff online to make it appear as if she is alright when she isn’t.
