Pop superstar Britney Spears has called for all her family members to be jailed following the end of her 13-year conservatorship.

Spears credited the #FreeBritney movement for helping to rescue her from a “demoralizing and degrading” situation orchestrated by her family and the conservatorship.

The singer has been very vocal about the matter and has described her father, Jamie Spears, as an abusive person who should be jailed.

In June 2021, she spoke about her family members, management and her father during a court hearing.

“Ma’am, my dad and anyone involved in this conservatorship, and my management, who played huge roles in punishing me when I said ‘No’ [to going on tour] — Ma’am, they should be in jail,” she said.

Spears has been living under conservatorship for the past 13 years, and the legal guardianship gave her father control over all aspects of her life, including her finances, career, and personal decisions.

The pop star claimed that her father and other family members abused their power and controlled every aspect of her life, leaving her without autonomy or freedom.

However, the court hearing in November 2021 ended in Spears’ favour, and she was granted freedom from the conservatorship.

“I am still in shock. I’m still traumatised,” she said in the June hearing. “I just want my life back. It’s been 13 years. Enough.”

After years of fighting, Britney’s legal battle is over, and she is looking forward to her newfound freedom.

Spears posted a video on Instagram, thanking her fans and supporters, including the #FreeBritney movement, for their continuous support and love.

“Now I’m free, so happy, and looking forward to having the keys to my car and being able to be independent and feel like a woman,” she said.

“I plan on being an advocate for people who are in a situation similar to mine.”

Spears also acknowledged that she was lucky to have the financial resources to fight the conservatorship and said that she would like to be a voice for those who don’t have the same opportunities.

“I’m a very strong woman, so I can only imagine what the system has done to those people,” she said.

“Hopefully, my story will make an impact and make some changes in the corrupt system.”

Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, who had controlled her life and finances, has been under fire from her and her supporters.

In her Instagram post, Britney called out her family members, including her mother, who had a role in her conservatorship, for their actions.

“I’m used to keeping peace for the family and keeping my mouth shut… but not this time,” she said.

“I have not forgotten, and I hope they can look up tonight and know exactly what I mean.”

After being granted her freedom, Britney celebrated with her “first glass of Champagne” at Catch LA. She also posted a photo of herself wearing a T-shirt with the words “mean people suck.”

Spears is now looking forward to the future and is expected to continue her music career and spend time with her family.
