But it wasn’t just his co-actors who had issues with Maguire. On various film sets, he has been seen ordering people not to look him in the eyes and insisting they call him bizarre names such as “Tugboat Maguire” or “Tugboat Tobey.”

He even fired a publicist during an interview for not informing the interviewer about his name requirements.

One casting member described him as “the worst little monster you have ever met.”

In addition to his behavior on set, Maguire has also had confrontations with fans. According to reports, he has lashed out at fans for not calling him by his preferred name.

In one instance, he reportedly stated, “I’m small but strong, just like a tugboat, so call me fucking ‘Tugboat Maguire.’ How hard can that possibly be?”

Maguire has also been known to be reserved as an actor, stating in an interview that he doesn’t consider himself as a charismatic guy of Hollywood who likes to be excessively social, outgoing, frank, and flashy.

While this may be acceptable for some actors, there’s a fine line between being reserved and being a total jerk.
