Authorities say a film crew worker was critically hurt on Tuesday in Los Angeles while working on set construction for the upcoming Netflix comedy “Me Time,” starring Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg.

According to Brian Humphrey, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department, the LAPD received “several 911 calls” as early as 7:04 a.m. on Tuesday reporting an incident involving a 38-year-old male who had fallen an “estimated 60 to 80 feet” while on a soundstage at Sunset Gower Studios in Los Angeles.

Humphrey stated that they were summoned to Sunset and Gower, but he could not specify whether the incident occurred inside or outside the studio complex, just that it occurred “at or near” the property.

When paramedics arrived, on-site medical personnel were doing CPR on the crew member, who had no pulse and was said to be in ‘grave condition.’

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, an unnamed 38-year-old man got first assistance from EMTs. The first responders arrived at the studio door at Fountain Avenue and Beachwood Drive, on the Sunset Gower complex’s south side.

Humphry said the unnamed individual had sustained “massive trauma” and was “haemorrhaging.”

The unidentified person allegedly sustained fractures to both legs and one arm and was bleeding following the incident.

“Medics were amazingly able to restore his heartbeat, restore his breathing and able to restore his pulse,” Humphrey said, adding that the man was transferred to a regional trauma center in severe condition. “He has a fighting chance of survival.”

According to the LAFD spokesman, the Cal/OSHA investigation into the event has begun. Meanwhile, the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), the union that represents lower-wage employees in Hollywood productions, and Netflix declined to comment.

It is also unknown whether the man was wearing a safety harness.

According to reports, the accident happened at Stage 12 on the property, and the individual — thought to be a male stage technician in his 30s – fell from the grid above the stage. The person is in uncertain condition.

Netflix says the victim’s fall was closer to 35-37 feet in height, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Me Time revolves around a stay-at-home father (Hart) who finds himself with some “me time” for the first time in years while his wife and children are away. He reunites with his ex-best buddy (Wahlberg) for a crazy weekend that nearly devastates his life.

According to Deadline, Regina Hall will also appear in the film.
