Dwayne Johnson, also known as “The Rock,” has responded to recent comments made by his Fast & Furious co-star, Vin Diesel.

The two actors have reportedly been feuding for over a decade, and Diesel’s latest comments appear to have reignited the tension between them.

In a recent interview, Diesel, who is a producer on the Fast & Furious franchise, claimed credit for Johnson’s performance as Luke Hobbs in the films.

He stated that his “tough love” approach on the set of Fast Five was responsible for Johnson’s successful portrayal of the character.

“Hobbs hits you like a ton of bricks. That’s something that I’m proud of, that aesthetic,” Diesel said.

“That took a lot of work. We had to get there, and sometimes at that time, I could give a lot of tough love.

“Not Felliniesque, but I would do anything I’d have to do in order to get performances in anything I’m producing.”

In response, Johnson told The Hollywood Reporter that he found Diesel’s comments amusing. “I laughed and I laughed hard,” he said.

“I think everyone had a laugh at that. And I’ll leave it at that.”

Johnson went on to say that he wished Diesel and the rest of the Fast & Furious team well on the upcoming films, but that he would not be appearing in them.

Diesel’s reference to the Italian auteur Federico Fellini, known for his intense and demanding directing style, appeared to amuse Johnson and his Jungle Cruise co-star Emily Blunt, who was present during the interview.

“Just thank God he was there,” Blunt joked, referring to Diesel. “Thank God. He carried you through that.”

The tension between Johnson and Diesel has been well-documented over the years. In 2017, Johnson took to social media to criticize some of his male co-stars on the Fast & Furious 8 set, although he did not mention any names.

Later, it was widely speculated that Diesel was the target of Johnson’s criticism.

In the years since, the two actors have traded subtle jabs at each other in interviews and on social media.
