When Angelina Jolie became a MAN for a movie role

SHE is one of the most gorgeous ladies in the world… and the last person you’d envision as a male. But that’s exactly what she became in the 2010 movie Salt.

To create the astonishing transition for the film, the Hollywood diva spent hours in make-up, donning artificial ears, a fake nose, and a rubber neck covering.

When her family came to see her on set in New York, husband Brad Pitt refused to kiss her and their nine-year-old adopted son Maddox did not recognize her.

Angelina said: “I invited Maddox to come and say, ‘Hi’ and didn’t tell him who I was. He hung out with me for a while until I said ‘Mad’… and he screamed ‘Mom’. He was freaked out.”

‘Brad wouldn’t kiss me, he wouldn’t go there, either.’

SALT 2?

Salt was a platform for Jolie to showcase her action and acting skills, and while the picture itself had a somewhat conventional storyline, her performance and some solid setpieces made it worthwhile.  The movie made almost $300 million and was expected to launch a new franchise, but nearly a decade later, it’s evident that won’t happen.

Angelina Jolie Rejected The Script For Salt 2

Salt 2 was created in the years that followed, although it doesn’t appear to have gained any momentum. In 2012, Jolie turned down a draft for Salt 2, and while news of the sequel’s development continued, the actress’ involvement remained a mystery. While Salt was a blockbuster, it wasn’t a box-office hit, so Sony probably decided to let the project die quietly after years of unproductive development.

Angelina Jolie has revealed details about her family life.

In a candid interview with People, Jolie confessed that, like other moms, she can be hard on herself when it comes to assessing her own parenting practices.

“I’m not a perfect parent by any means,” she said. “Every day I feel like I’m more aware of everything I don’t do right. And I’m pretty tough on myself, because I feel often, ‘Am I doing the right thing? Did I [say] the right thing?’”

The “Eternals” actress, 49, has four children with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt: Maddox, 20, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 15, Vivienne, 13, and Knox, 13.

“My children have done many, many loving things. My children’s kindness has been very healing to me,” she says.

“They’re pretty great people,” Jolie said. “And because there’s so many of them, I think they’ve had a very significant effect on each other. It’s not like I’m the head of anything. I’m very honest with my kids. And I’m very human with my kids.”

The 46-year-old went on to discuss her objectives as a parent, which include being there “to support and develop all different aspects of who they are.”

“I have six very individual human beings in my home,” Jolie said. “I am so excited about all the different stages and feelings and curiosities that they go through. Why wouldn’t you be?” Angelina said. “We’re supposed to help them figure out who they are. And you can’t figure out who they are if you don’t enthusiastically develop with them.”

This isn’t the first time Jolie has been candid about her role as a mother and her connection with her children. In April 2021, she told Entertainment Weekly that she was taking a break from directing films to spend more time with her family. “I love directing, but I had a change in my family situation that’s not made it possible for me to direct for a few years,” she stated while promoting her firefighting thriller, Those Who Wish Me Dead. “I needed to just do shorter jobs and be home more, so I kind of went back to doing a few acting jobs. That’s really the truth of it.”

Jolie recently shared some adorable red carpet moments with her children. They accompanied her to the Eternals premiere last week, where they wore vintage and upcycled ensembles, some of which came from the Oscar winner’s own closet, with Zahara donning her mother’s glittering Elie Saab Couture gown from the 2014 Academy Awards.
