Jennifer Aniston has revealed her current relationship status with ex-husband Brad Pitt, following an exchange between the two that sent the internet into a frenzy.

Pitt and Aniston, who are both presently unmarried, are still just friends and only friends, she said on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show.

Stern inquired about partnering with Pitt on a live table reading of Fast Times at Ridgemont High in September 2020. “It was absolutely fun. Brad and I are buddies, we’re friends,” Aniston started, via People. “And we speak, and there’s no oddness at all, except for everyone that probably watched it and was wanting there to be, or assumed there to be. We had fun, and it was for a great cause, [Sean Penn’s community relief nonprofit] CORE.”

For the table read, the two were joined by a slew of other celebrities, including narrator Morgan Freeman, Matthew McConaughey, Jimmy Kimmel, Julia Roberts, and others, who all smiled and giggled throughout their scene. However, the actress from We’re the Millers said that there was no “oddness” for them.

“There’s no oddness at all,” she added, “except for everyone that probably watched it and was wanting there to be.”

With a Brad and Jen reunion looking unlikely, Stern inquired about Aniston’s dating life since her divorce from ex-husband Justin Theroux in 2018.

While she isn’t dating anybody right now, she says she is “of course open to it,” but you won’t find her on celebrity dating app Raya anytime soon.

“There’s nothing anonymous about it and I wouldn’t do that,” she explained. “I don’t want to do that and I don’t need to do that. I’m all good. I’m doing just fine.”

Jennifer gave a lengthy interview for People’s cover story about her love life, revealing that she enjoys being single and has no plans to marry anytime soon, instead preferring to “find a fantastic partner and just living an enjoyable life and having fun with one another.”

“That‘s all we should hope for. It doesn’t have to be etched in stone in legal documents.“

It comes after the actress said that Pitt was one of her favorite Friends guest stars, recalling his appearance in season 8’s ‘The One with the Rumor.’

“Mr Pitt was wonderful,” Aniston told Access. “He was fantastic.”

This isn’t the first time the erstwhile golden couple has made headlines – during the SAG Awards last year, Aniston and Pitt shared a moment that nearly broke the internet.

Following the recent Friends reunion, a Carpool Karaoke featuring the show’s six major characters was released.

The spoof included presenter James Corden singing together with Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and Matthew Perry to The Rembrandts’ ‘I’ll Be There For You.’
