Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer, who played Ross and Rachel on the popular TV show “Friends,” had a special connection both on and off the screen.

In an interview for “Friends: The Reunion,” the actors revealed that they had crushes on each other during the early seasons of the show.

“The first season, I had a major crush on Jen,” Schwimmer admitted. Aniston confirmed that the feeling was mutual, saying “it was reciprocated.”

However, they never acted on their attraction due to one or the other being in a relationship at the time.

“At some point, we were both crushing hard on each other, but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship,” Schwimmer explained.

“And we never crossed that boundary. You know, we respected that.”

The actors’ first kiss on-screen was for the iconic Ross and Rachel storyline, which Aniston admitted was a bit disappointing.

“Honestly, I remember saying one time to David, ‘It’s going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is gonna be on national television,” she said.

“Sure enough, the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop.”

Aniston dated several men during the filming of “Friends,” including Daniel McDonald, Adam Duritz of Counting Crows, Tate Donovan, and Brad Pitt, whom she later married and divorced.

Schwimmer also had a number of relationships during the show’s run, including Imbruglia, Mili Avital, Carla Alapont, and Tina Barrett of S Club.

Aniston reflected on her relationship with McDonald in an interview with The New York Times, saying “He would have been the one. But I was 25, and I was stupid.”

The actress also had a tumultuous relationship with Donovan, which ended while they were both still filming “Friends.”

Donovan played Joshua, Rachel’s love interest, on the show.

Aniston and Pitt’s relationship began in 1998, and he eventually guest starred on the show as Will Colbert in “The One with the Rumor.”

The couple married in 2000, but their marriage ended in divorce in 2005. Schwimmer proposed to Avital in 2001, but the couple broke up eight months later.

After “Friends” ended in 2004, the cast members moved on to other projects. However, their chemistry and close bond has continued to be celebrated by fans of the show.
