Jennifer Aniston has confessed that she doubted her career would survive an “embarrassing” film about a killer leprechaun.

Before becoming famous for her part in Friends, Aniston portrayed Tory Redding, a young American girl on vacation who is pursued by a deadly leprechaun played by Harry Potter actor Warwick Davis.

In a recent video interview with InStyle Magazine, Aniston revealed that she was scared at the time that it might jeopardize her career.

Aniston reminisced about her 1999 film Office Space, in which she portrayed a bored waitress increasingly at odds with her authoritarian employer, during a video challenge in which she picked objects from a bag that had special meaning to her life.

Although the film was not a box office success, it has gained a cult following in the years after its debut.

“Office Space [was] one of the first movies I ever did,” Aniston said. “No one thought it would become the cult classic that it did, but it’s pretty cool if you ask me.”

She continued: “There’s loads of movies where you’re thinking: ‘Oh god, this is just… how am I going to survive this in my future?’ And then it’s a cult… ‘something’ because it’s so embarrassing.”

Aniston then clarified that she didn’t mean to imply Office Space was “embarrassing”.

“That movie wasn’t! That movie was special,” she said, before whispering: “I was talking about Leprechaun.”

Jennifer Aniston Hopes Her Next Lover is Someone Not Famous

Jennifer Aniston has expressed her desire for her next relationship to be with someone who is not in the entertainment world, stating that it would be “nice.”

The actress was asked if she felt partnerships between famous personalities and non-public characters might work by Kay Adams of PEOPLE (The TV Show!) while promoting the second season of her Apple TV+ series The Morning Show.

“Absolutely. I mean, it’s happened,” she said. “That’s what I’m sort of hoping for is not necessarily somebody in the industry itself.”

“That’d be nice,” she said.

The actor’s remarks follow her recent denial of rumors that she is dating her former Friends co-star David Schwimmer, which she called “bizarre.”

“I could not believe that, actually. Like, really? That’s my brother! But I understand it, though,” Aniston told Entertainment Tonight. “It just shows you how hopeful people are for fantasies for dreams to come true.”

The rumors began to surface after both performers admitted to having crushes on one other while working on the famous comedy, which aired for ten seasons and ended in 2004. On the program, their characters, Rachel Green and Ross Gellar, dated.

“I had a major crush on Jen in the first season,” Schwimmer acknowledged at the HBOMax reunion special, which aired in May. “At some point we were both crushing hard on each other — but it was like two ships passing [in the night], because one of us was always in a relationship.”

“So we just channeled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel,” Aniston added.

Aniston was previously married for five years to fellow actor Brad Pitt, until the couple split in 2005. She was also married for more than two years to Justin Theroux, but the couple divorced in 2018 after more than seven years together.

“Oh God, I don’t know,” she replied when asked if she would ever get married again. “It’s not on my radar. I’m interested in finding a fantastic partner and just living an enjoyable life and having fun with one another. That’s all we should hope for. It doesn’t have to be etched in stone in legal documents.”

However, as a single woman, Aniston has no intention of using dating apps to locate a new partner.

In June, she told People, “I’m just going to stick to the normal ways of dating. Having someone ask you out. That’s the way I would prefer it.”
