The production of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom has begun, and Amber Heard has confirmed that she will be a part of it. What evidence do we have? Because the divisive actress and new mother said as much in a behind-the-scenes Instagram photo.

Using her Instagram account, the mother of one shared a photo of herself in a green shirt and black leggings, displaying her toned figure. She was stretched out on a blue floor mat, her mouth open, and she looked tired.

The 35-year-old actress captioned the photo, “Another day at the office.”

Aquaman director James Wan revealed the title of the forthcoming DC picture earlier this year, and it will hit theaters on December 16 next year.

Wan, 44, captioned a shot of the film’s title on a production conference slide, “The tide is rising,”

On June 28, principal filming for “Aquaman 2” began in London. Director James Wan posted the first shot from the set on his Instagram page on the first day of production. The photo showed a clapper on an ice set and indicated that the film was shot under the working title “Necrus”

Heard limited comments on her Instagram post, as well as on her Twitter account. Clearly, she is aware of the fan backlash that resulted in the producers refusing to let her reprise her role as Mera – and she isn’t interested in hearing what they have to say.

Necrus is a submerged city. It’s one-of-a-kind in that it only exists for a short period of time and never appears in the same place repeatedly. It is controlled by King Mondo, a tyrant who shares Ocean Master’s contempt for those who live on the surface. He tried to form an alliance with Atlantis at first, but Arthur refused, so he imprisoned him and launched war on his kingdom.

For the film, Heard will reprise her role as Mera, the Atlantean princess, while Jason Momoa and Patrick Wilson will reprise their roles as Aquaman and Orm, respectively.

“I’m super excited about the amount of fan love and the amount of fan appreciation that Aquaman has acquired and that it has garnered so much excitement for Aquaman and Mera that it means we’ll be coming back. I’m so excited to film that,” she told EW of returning for the sequel.

David Kane / Black Manta is played by Arthur Curry, Abdul-Mateen, and Orm Marius and King Nereus are played by Patrick Wilson and Dolph Lundgren, respectively.

Wan will direct and produce the picture alongside Peter Safran. The script will be written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick.
