Johnny Depp and Amber Heard were the center of attention at a $100m defamation trial, where a dramatic audio recording was played in the court.

The audio was from a meeting between the two in a San Francisco hotel two months after Heard filed for divorce.

During the meeting, Depp asked Heard to cut him with a knife and said, “You’ve taken everything, you want my blood, take it.”

The court heard that Depp’s reputation was already damaged by Heard’s claims that he was physically violent towards her, which she had shown bruises of in a court hearing where she received a restraining order against him.

Depp explained that he repeatedly asked Heard to cut him because his blood was the only thing she didn’t have.

The court also heard a tearful phone conversation between the two after the divorce, where Heard challenged Depp about his claims that she had beaten him up.

Heard said, “Tell the world I, Johnny Depp, a man, am a victim of domestic violence and see how many people believe or side with you.”

The audio recording of the meeting in the San Francisco hotel was unsettling, with Depp repeatedly telling Heard to cut him and saying, “You f**king hate me.”

When asked by his lawyer about the meeting, Depp said it went “not particularly well.”

He stated that he was confused as to why he was summoned to meet with her, as all the news was about the allegations against him.

He said, “I met with her in the hope she would retract her lies that the world was now fed, had been fed. In no way was she ready to do that.”

Depp explained that he was at the end of his rope, broken and had nothing left to give.

He said that he had a knife in his pocket and took it out, saying, “Here, cut me.”

When Heard said no, he said, “If you’re not going to take it, that’s all I’ve got left. If she wasn’t going to do it, I would have done it.”

He added that there was no threat to Heard, but rather a plea to end his pain.

The court also heard a dramatic phone call between Heard and Depp that took place some time between May and July 2016.

In the audio, Heard challenged Depp to take her to court to see who would believe him if he claimed to be a victim of domestic abuse.

Depp said, “It’s got to stop,” and a tearful Heard replied, “I don’t know how to get my reputation back.”

The two discussed writing a letter together to remove the matter from the public eye and saying that the media had created a hateful storm.

However, the conversation quickly escalated, with Heard screaming that she did not choose this and Depp responding that he did not put this anywhere.

Heard then addressed the final argument before the divorce on May 21, 2016, when she claims he hit her with a phone.

Heard said, “I did not call the cops. I did not give them any statement, I was trying to protect you…the last time it got crazy between us I really thought I was going to lose my life.”

Depp responded by saying, “I lost a f*ing finger. I had a can of mineral spirits thrown at my fking nose.”

Heard countered by saying, “Tell the world I, Johnny Depp, a man, am a victim of domestic violence and see how many people believe or side with you.”
