Emma Watson, a British actress, claims she has been subjected to the “full spectrum” of sexual harassment in the film industry.

Speaking with Variety about the Time’s Up movement and her involvement, the Beauty and the Beast star noted that her experience was “not unique,” and that it was symptomatic of a larger, more systematic problem.

While on the red carpet, she told the outlet, “It’s amazing because I have experienced the full spectrum [of harassment].”

“But I think that for me, what is amazing is that my experiences are not unique, the experiences of my friends are not unique, the experiences of my colleagues are not unique.

“This issue is so systemic, structural.”

Watson believes the current Hollywood sex scandal, which was started by several sexual misconduct charges leveled against Harvey Weinstein, is only the beginning. Weinstein has rejected all claims of non-consensual sex.

“The statistics around – even in the United Kingdom – women between the ages of 18 to 24, huge, huge, huge numbers say that they have experienced sexual harassment in the workplace.”

“You realize, if you speak to most women, they have an experience, they have a story,” Watson continued. “We’re just uncovering. We’re just scratching the surface of this, which is what’s really crazy.”

Emma is one of several female actors who have thrown their support to the Time’s Up initiative, which aims to provide legal assistance to women who have been sexually harassed at work.

She was one of the attendees at the Golden Globes who wore black in support of the Time’s Up campaign against sexual harassment.

Marai Larasi, the founder of Imkaan, an organization devoted to ending violence against women and girls of color, joined her. Susan Sarandon, Amy Poehler, and Meryl Streep were among the other stars that brought activists along.

Thousands of women are stepping forward in the aftermath of the Harvey Weinstein crisis to highlight how pervasive sexual harassment and abuse is.

Women from all around the world have come together on social media to share their tales of being sexually harassed or abused in some form throughout their lives, using the hashtag #MeToo.
