Emma Watson apparently stormed off set during a scene in the 2013 comedy This Is the End.

Watson did, in fact, refuse to shoot a scene in which Danny McBride portrays a cannibal and holds Channing Tatum on a leash, Seth Rogen confirmed in an interview with British GQ.

He clarified, “I mean, I don’t look back on that and think, ‘How dare she do that?’ You know? I think sometimes when you read something, when it comes to life it doesn’t seem to be what you thought it was.”

“But it was not some terrible ending to our relationship,” the 38-year-old performer added. “She came back the next day to say goodbye. She helped promote the film. No hard feelings and I couldn’t be happier with how the film turned out in the end.”

This Is the End was written and directed by Rogen (together with Evan Goldberg) and starred Rogen, James Franco, McBride, Watson, and Rihanna as heightened versions of themselves attempting to escape an apocalypse that occurs while they’re at a Hollywood party. Someone who claimed to be an extra on the shoot stated on Tumblr that Watson walked off the set during filming because she was uncomfortable with the sequence.

Watson “was probably right,” Rogen admits, adding, “it was probably funnier the way we ended up doing it.”

Surprisingly, the actor, who just launched his cannabis business Houseplant in the United States, disclosed that he and his wife, Lauren Miller, first saw the Harry Potter films during the epidemic. He said they’d “never seen them” and invited Charlize Theron and Keanu Reeves to join them in their movie club. “Honestly… it’s the best part of my week,” he said nonchalantly.

Rogen’s book, which can best be defined as a memoir, is set to be released in May, and in typical Seth Rogen manner, it doesn’t appear to be very traditional. According to British GQ, it’s more of a collection of questionably suitable anecdotes from his life than a collection of industry stories that teach followers how he made it.

“Honestly,” he told British GQ, “in many ways, that was the biggest thing to overcome in my head: to demystify what a book was and what it meant to people. And I wanted to frame it as entertainment and not, like, a deep look at how Seth Rogen came to be.”
