Tyrese Gibson has slammed The Fate of the Furious co-star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson once again in their ongoing dispute over the Fast and Furious films.

Tyrese has taken to social media to express his displeasure with Dwayne Johnson’s pursuit of a Fast and Furious spin-off with Jason Statham ahead of the next actual sequel, accusing his co-star of selfishly prioritizing his personal interests over the ensemble.

However, it appears that his whining has had little effect on Dwayne Johnson’s development of Hobbs and Shaw, and Tyrese has decided to effectively end his working relationship with the actor.

The actor and singer said on Instagram on Wednesday that he will not be starring in the next installment of the franchise if Johnson is also involved.

“Hello world………. hello loyal fans and loved ones from OUR fast universe…….. I’m sorry to announce that if Dewayne is in Fast9 there will no more Roman Peirce [sic],” he said beside a photo of Johnson hugging Diesel. “You mess with family and my daughters survival I mess with yours……… close your eyes dude you’re a ‘Clown.’”

The situation became much more acrimonious after Gibson accused Johnson of taking steroids. “#CandyAssB**chMade All my real one… Men on integrity… Folks that go to the gym and get big naturally #NoJuice #NoOJ.”

“Spin off huh? Spin off these nuts selfish champ,” he continued. “Pause notice who’s got his arms around my shoulder and who’s standing alone – #OurChildrenMatter.”

Gibson attacked Johnson after it was reported that the ninth part of the series will be pushed back a year in order to create a standalone feature for the former wrestler’s character.

“Congratulations to @TheRock and your brother in law aka 7 bucks producing partner @hhgarcia41 for making the fast and the furious franchise about YOU,” the actor said, also mocking Johnson’s most recent film, Baywatch, which bombed at the box office in the United States this summer.

Gibson clarified the claims in an interview with TMZ on October 11. “Everybody’s coming at me like I’m hating on Dwayne about his spinoff but I’m not,” the actor clarified. “The truth is, I just wish he was releasing it at a different time.”

“I was never mad at The Rock – I was just mad that he was ‘pitched’ an idea privately and said yes to it without thinking of what I’m dealing with personally,” Tyrese said in another Instagram post on Wednesday. “I’m almost broke paying legal fees and is doing what we committed to doing for the #FastFans and #FastFamily cause the fast is tradition it’s not just another Movie…Fast was created to COUNTER images of racism to counter that WE ARE NOT ONE RACE…… So the rock how does it feel bro?…. going home to your daughter every night…. it’s was 60 days before I seen my baby….. and all I asked you to do ‘privately’ was NOT accept a role that would deeply effect us all.”

“You are simply NOT the people’s champ,” Tyrese continued, using Dwayne’s WWE nickname. “You are a selfish champ.”

Tyrese also used an insult against his coworkers that The Rock had used in 2016. On Facebook, he claimed that some of his “male coworkers” do not “conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals,” and that they “are too chicken s—t to do anything about it anyway,” adding, “Candy asses.” He avoided mentioning names. Many assumed he was referring to Vin, who went on to sing the actor’s praises. Dwayne later told The Los Angeles Times that what he stated in his diatribe was “very clear.” Dwayne Johnson told E! News at the premiere of The Fate of the Furious, that he and Vin had a “good chat” and that “everything is fine.”

If Tyrese does follow through on his vow to leave Fast and Furious 9, fans should expect the return of two more significant characters from the franchise’s history.

Vin Diesel revealed earlier this week in a surprise fan Q&A that director Justin Lin and original cast member Jordana Brewster will also return for the sequel.
