According to actress Elizabeth Olsen, a person’s career does not end if they appear undressed on TV.

For Olsen, being comfortable performing without clothes didn’t happen until she saw Kate Winslet do it. According to her interview with Net-A-Porter, “I remember watching Holy Smoke and thinking that it was so reassuring to see a young Kate doing something that was so bold in so many ways.”

“I thought to myself, ‘Okay, so it doesn’t destroy your career if you appear nud* or take risks.'”

Olsen explained that, while she now feels fine with it, her family was concerned.

The 26-year-old actress said that she never feels pressured to appear bare for a job and acknowledged that she understands why some ladies choose not to strip for movies.

She clarified that certain actresses—young and old—have made the decision to never do it.

She admitted to NAP that she loves performing without clothes despite her concern that she would end up serving as a cautionary tale for other young actors.

She states, “You want that voyeuristic quality, but I never feel I have to be nud*. But I never feel I have to be nud* – and you won’t ever see me in a beauty shot in a bikini on a beach. That’s a character I will never play.”

Olsen also enthused about the anecdotal, 77-year-old actor Jane Fonda when it comes to general life advice.

In the recently released movie Avengers: Age of Ultron, the US actress portrays Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff).

“You don’t say no to the Avengers. I’ve never experienced anything like it in terms of scale,” she said.

“We took over several towns in Italy and made them look like they were in the middle of a war. Then we moved the whole set to north London where we took over an old police academy.”

“It was just insane, there were real explosions and you could feel the heat off them. And in amidst of it all, a guy in a onesie shooting things. I couldn’t even make eye contact with that. It was just too weird.”

“My sisters are the most inspiring women to me because of the way they lead their lives. They’re insanely diligent and they taught me that you can do whatever you want if it’s your passion and you work hard at it,” she remarked of being motivated by her elder sisters, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who were child stars turned fashion designers.
