Michael Jackson is outraged by the way he is insulted in rapper Eminem’s new video “Just Lose It” and has requested that cable music channels pull the film from rotation.

Eminem plays on various Jackson-related themes in the video, from an opening act comparable to “Billie Jean,” to a joke about the singer’s hair catching fire during the production of a Pepsi commercial in 1985. Eminem also targets the singer’s molestation controversy by sitting on a bed with boys dancing around him, using prosthetic makeup to appear like Jackson. “Come here, little kiddie, on my lap. Guess who’s back with a brand new rap.”

“And I don’t mean a rap as in a new case of child-molestation accusation/ … I’ve done touched on everything but little boys/ That’s not a stab at Michael/ That’s just a metaphor/ I’m just psycho,” Eminem adds.

Jackson has pled not guilty to child abuse, conspiracy, and providing alcohol to an underage companion in Santa Barbara County.

In an interview with comedian Steve Harvey on Los An

“I feel that it is outrageous and disrespectful. It is one thing to spoof, but it is another to be demeaning and insensitive.”

The singer went on to say: “I’ve admired Eminem as an artist, and was shocked by this. The video was inappropriate and disrespectful to me, my children, my family and the community at large.”

According to Jackson’s spokeswoman Raymone Bain, BET’s decision to withdraw the video encouraged him, and he hopes other networks would follow suit. The decision was made “out of respect for our longstanding relationship with Michael Jackson,” according to BET spokesperson Michael Lewellen.

BET Chairman/Founder Bob Johnson said in a statement that “BET pulled the video because we feel it is inappropriate to use our network to air a video disparaging Michael’s character, or that of any other celebrity.”

Eminem’s representative merely expressed regret for BET’s decision.

Meanwhile, Eminem is sticking to his guns and defending his video. Interscope, his label, issued a statement regarding the situation. It says: “Eminem’s video for ‘Just Lose It’ was taken off the air today by BET. Michael Jackson requested that the station no longer play the video because he found it offensive. We are sorry that BET made this decision. Eminem’s new album, Encore, will be released on November 16.”
