Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have sought the assistance of a Hollywood public relations agency whose clientele include Michael Jackson and Harvey Weinstein.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have enlisted the assistance of Sunshine Sachs, which is regarded as one of the world’s top crisis managers.

Regardless, a royal insider told The Sun that the action was “unorthodox”

“Hiring a Hollywood firm to represent you for PR while a member of the Royal Family is unorthodox to say the least,” the insider continued.

“Senior palace courtiers have been left bemused over the last few months that the couple have been ignoring advice from their own highly-professional team and will instead listen to outsiders in Hollywood.”

Shawn Sachs and Keleigh Thomas Morgan, who represented Meghan as an actress on the program Suits, have been helping her through recent high-profile occurrences, including a guest edit of Vogue magazine.

The firm is assisting on the new Sussex Royal charitable foundation, which Meghan and Prince Harry established after their divorce from Prince William and Kate.

According to ITV, Harry addressed the couple’s recent usage of private airplanes during the event, saying, “We can all do better, and while no one is perfect, we are all responsible for our individual impact.”

In response to the latest incident, he stated, “I spend 99 per cent of my life travelling the world by commercial. Occasionally there needs to be an opportunity based on a unique circumstance to ensure my family are safe and it’s genuinely as simple as that.”

It is thought that the public relations firm would assist the royals with the launch of Travalyst, a global program that aims to boost conservation, environmental protection, and the economic advantages of tourism.

It comes as Harry and Meghan, whose new house cost taxpayers £2.4 million to renovate, have made a number of unflattering headlines.

On Monday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex began their week by sharing a quotation on leadership from South Africa’s former president, Nelson Mandela, on their joint Instagram account.

“Sharing a powerful quote to start the week,” the quotation said.

“It is so easy to break down and destroy.

“The heroes are those who make peace and build.”

The statement comes ahead of the couple’s visit to the nation, which will also be their first royal tour as a family of three after the birth of their son Archie in May.

Ben Affleck, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Leonardo DiCaprio, Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lopez, Snoop Dogg, and Natalie Portman are among Sunshine Sachs’ clients.

In 2015, the firm defended disgraced film mogul Harvey Weinstein, who was accused of molesting model Ambra Battilana Gutierrez.

Following public accusations of hypocrisy over his views on the environment, Prince Harry announced the new effort this morning, saying what is crucial is “what we do to balance” negative effects.

Sunshine Sachs’s compensation is yet to be announced.
