We thought we were Ryan Gosling’s biggest fans, then Justin Bieber comes along and proves us wrong.

Like the rest of us, the 22-year-old pop sensation admires Ryan Gosling’s style. Ryan Gosling’s appearance in The Place Beyond the Pines is one of the most epic Ryan Gosling looks of all time, according to the pop singer.

Justin paid tribute to Ryan Gosling’s character not once, but twice, on Instagram yesterday. He started with a shot of a bleach-blonde Gosling leaning up against a motorcycle, but thought it wasn’t enough to convey his excitement.

Justin then shared another photo of Gosling feeding his infant co-star, captioning it with the phrase “What a beast.”

Gosling portrays a motorcycle stuntman who begins robbing banks to support his family after learning that his ex-girlfriend gave birth to his child.

Also, there’s a chance that Bieber got his current face tattoo as a tribute to Ryan. Maybe he got the idea from his TPBTP character Luke, who has a very similar one?

Ryan told the Associated Press about a chat he had with filmmaker Derek Cianfrance about wanting to get rid of his hideous face tattoo.

“I said to Derek, ‘I got to lose this face tattoo. It’s the worst. It’s so distracting and it’s going to ruin everything,’” Ryan explained.

To which Derek replied, “Well, I’m sure that’s how people with face tattoos feel. So now you have to pay the consequences of your actions”.

“So I had to do the whole film with it and now see it on posters,” Ryan added.

However, he ultimately realized the advantages of having such a prominent tattoo.

He stated, “It gave me a sense of shame that I feel was inherent to the character.”

Ryan had a prosperous career since the age of eight in the Mickey Mouse Club and main roles in blockbuster films such as The Notebook, Drive, and The Ides of March, so he would never have to contemplate stealing to make ends meet.

The actor is looking forward to a well-deserved rest.

Ryan told the Associated Press, “I’ve been doing it too much.”

“I’ve lost perspective on what I’m doing.”

“I think it’s good for me to take a break and reassess why I’m doing it and how I’m doing it and I think this is probably a good way to learn about that.”

“I need a break from myself as much as the audience does.”
