Jennifer Aniston has reacted angrily to claims that she didn’t want Brad Pitt’s children.

Aniston and Pitt were married for five years and were seen as a perfect celebrity power couple since they complimented each other well on red carpets. The news of the couple’s divorce stunned and devastated many fans throughout the world.

One of the biggest shocks was the fact that the couple never had children, especially since Brad went on to have six children with Angelina Jolie, three biological and three adoptive.

Aniston has rejected reports that she never had children with husband Brad Pitt because she “cared only about her career’.

Shortly after her separation from Pitt and reports that her refusal to have children was the cause of their breakup, America’s sweetheart opened up and rejected the allegations. In an interview at the time, Aniston stated, “A man divorcing would never be accused of choosing career over children. That really p***** me off.”

The actress defended herself, saying, “I’ve never in my life said I didn’t want to have children. The women that inspire me are the ones who have careers and children; why would I want to limit myself?

“I’ve always wanted to have children, and I would never give up that experience for a career. I want to have it all.”

Pitt “could have done more,” according to the actress, to deny the rumors regarding their intention to start a family.

Another source, on the other hand, may have revealed the genuine reason behind Aniston and Pitt’s lack of children. According to a source close to Pitt and Aniston, Pitt is the one who did not want to have one with Aniston.

A mutual friend added, “Having a baby was not his priority… ever. It was an abstract desire for him, whereas for Jen it was much more immediate.”

Pitt kept quiet, according to his pal, because he didn’t want to be “cast as the poor husband who couldn’t get a baby and so had to move on.”

The question of having children was one that plagued the former Friends star throughout her life.

In 2016, Aniston, 50, wrote an opinion article for the Huffington Post in which she begged for an end to the scrutiny after repeated stories and comments on social media asked whether she was pregnant.

“The sheer amount of resources being spent right now by the press trying to simply uncover whether or not I am pregnant (for the bajillionth time… but who’s counting) points to the perpetuation of this notion that women are somehow incomplete, unsuccessful, or unhappy if they’re not married with children,” Aniston wrote.

She reasoned that everyone is whole whether or not they had a partner or a child.
