The Telegraph has a nice interview with Tom Parker-Bowles, Camilla’s son, in which he’s asked if it’s true that he calls Prince Charles, his stepfather, Sir?

“Oh yes,” he says heartily. “But it’s not any sort of obligation, it’s just a nickname really, like Bob or Jim. When we were little, my mother would tell my sister and I that Sir was coming to visit, so the name stuck and to call him anything else would be very odd and unnatural.”

What Charles’ step-grandchildren (via Camilla) call him

Five of Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall’s grandkids are step-grandchildren of Prince Charles.

Lola and Freddie Parker Bowles (children of Tom Parker Bowles) and Eliza Lopes, as well as twins Gus and Louis Lopes, are Charles’ step-grandchildren (children of Laura Lopes).

Charles has acquired a distinctive moniker from his step-grandchildren.

Tom Parker Bowles, Camilla’s son revealed that his children, now 13 and 11, grew up calling the prince “Umpa” and Camilla “Gaga” in an interview with The Times to promote his new book, Time For Tea.

Charles has in the past spoken about how important his position as a grandpa is to him.

He’s also spoken about his late grandmother, the Queen Mother, and how important she was in his life.

He said, “It’s a different part of your life. The great thing is to encourage them.

“Show them things to take their interest. My grandmother did that, she was wonderful.

Camilla may not be called ‘Queen’ when Prince Charles takes the throne, Son Tom Parker-Bowles Says It ‘Hasn’t Been Decided’

While Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall may one day join her husband, Prince Charles, on the British throne, it may not be as “Queen Camilla.”

Camilla would be his consort, but Camilla’s son, Tom Parker-Bowles, says it’s unclear if she’ll be referred to as “Queen.”

On April 29, the writer, 46, told The Times, “I honestly don’t know if Mum will be called queen.” “That hasn’t been decided. There are a lot of interesting Sky documentaries about that I’m sure, but I honestly don’t know if that’s true.”

Since a news update issued on the day of Camilla’s 2005 engagement to Prince Charles, which said, “It is intended that Mrs. Parker Bowles should use the title HRH The Princess Consort when The Prince of Wales accedes to The Throne,” the topic of Camilla’s future title has been contested.

According to Town & Country, Camilla’s prospective future title was discussed on the “FAQ” section of the official website for the Prince of Wales and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall at one point.

Since the wedding, though, some royal observers have speculated that when Charles, 72, ascends to the throne, he will designate his wife Queen Consort. The palace deleted the part concerning Camilla’s title after her husband’s ascension from the prince’s website’s Frequently Asked Questions section in 2018.

“As was explained at the time of their wedding in April 2005, it is intended that The Duchess will be known as HRH The Princess Consort when The Prince of Wales Accedes to The Throne,” it read.

A source told Us Weekly last year that the Prince of Wales intends to “serve as king with Duchess Camilla by his side” after the Queen’s reign.

“This is something he’s dreamed about his entire life — he sees it as his birthright, and Her Majesty would find it extremely difficult to deprive him of that,” the source added.

In a wide-ranging interview, Tom, 46, also discussed his mother’s portrayal in season four of The Crown, which saw a young Camilla (played by Emerald Fennell, a 2021 Oscar nominee) and Charles (Josh O’Connor) have a passionate relationship behind the back of his new wife, Princess Diana (Emma Corrin).

Diana died in 1997, at the age of 36, from injury sustained in a vehicle accident in Paris.

“The Crown is beautifully filmed and beautifully acted but complete bollocks mostly,” he told The Times. “I saw a bit with my dad and thought, ‘God, you’ve got him wrong,’ but I would say that, wouldn’t I?”

Following Prince Philip’s death on April 9, there has been some discussion regarding Camilla’s future title. The royal line of succession remains unchanged as a result of Prince Philip’s death: following the Queen, Prince Charles is next in line, followed by Prince William.

Prince Charles has also made plans for the Firm during his reign. Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell told Us in November 2020, “Charles has made it quite clear that he intends to slim down the monarchy and reduce the number of full-time working members of the family to those in the immediate line of succession.”

Camilla has gradually won the public’s confidence over the years after a difficult start created by her affair with Charles during his disastrous marriage to Diana.

Why should Camilla be called Queen after what she did to Diana. Prime Philip was never a king. I think Charles should step down and let William become king Kaye would make a much better Queen she is sincere and loyal and loves her children. Camilla was an adulterer with Charles and they ruined Diana’s short life

Don’t forget, Diana was an adulterer as well, and with more partners.

The public has never forgiven or will never accept Camilla. Why the Queen allowed Prince Charles to marry that low-life homewrecker is a mystery. Better if she had stayed a mistress.

Diana was rejected by Prince Charles. She was not respected or treated as a wife. I too would have had an affair. She was love-starved and vulnerable.
