Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell claims in a new documentary that Prince Charles has staff straighten his shoelaces and drop an inch of toothpaste on his brush every morning.

The Pampered Prince is a nickname given to the Prince of Wales, 69, by members of the Clarence House staff.

Serving the Royals: Inside the Firm, an Amazon documentary that profiles 1,200 members of the royal family’s staff, claims that Charles has a lengthy list of demands that would give any diva a run for their money. Paul Burrell, Princess Diana’s former butler, claimed that “everything is done” for Charles.

He stated in the documentary that “His pajamas are pressed every morning, his shoelaces are pressed flat with an iron, the bath plug has to be in a certain position and the water temperature has to be just tepid.”

According to Burrell, “On one occasion, he rang me from his library and he said, ‘Oh Paul, a letter from the Queen seems to have fallen into my wastepaper bin. Would you pick it out?'”

It’s not the first time the Prince’s actions have been scrutinized.

The Independent claimed in December 2015 that Charles would only talk to the press provided they sign a 15-page contract allowing Clarence House to see first edits of interviews. If the prince is dissatisfied with the finished result, he has the power to prevent the interview from airing. The revelation surfaced when Channel 4 canceled an interview with Charles before of the Paris climate conference.

According to The Independent, the contract stipulates that before the interview is recorded, broadcasters must only ask Charles questions that have been authorized by Clarence House. Contracts are tailored to each interview, according to the publication.

“Rebel Prince, The Power, Passion, And Defiance Of Prince Charles,” a new book by Tom Bowers, contains interviews with more than 120 individuals who tell bizarre tales about working for the royals.

According to reports, Princess Diana’s ex-husband travels with his own toilet seat, changes clothes five times a day, has only just learned what Saran wrap is, and never shows up to a dinner gathering without his own food.
