Why can’t Elizabeth Olsen get a little more leather if Robert Downey Jr. can wear high-tech Iron Man armor and Chadwick Boseman can rock the amazing Black Panther costume in the Marvel movies?

The actress who plays The Scarlet Witch says she’d like to give her character a less revealing clothing in the Marvel superhero films.

“It would just not be a cleavage corset. I like corsets, but I’d like it to be higher,” Olsen told Elle. “Everyone has these things that cover them—Tessa Thompson does, Scarlett [Johansson] does. I would like to cover up a bit.”

“It’s funny because sometimes I look around and I’m just like—wow, I’m the only one who has cleavage, and that’s a constant joke because they haven’t really evolved my superhero costume that much,” she continued.

However, Olsen, the younger sister of “Full House” stars Mary-Kate and Ashley, admitted that Scarlet Witch’s original comic book design was revealing.

“But then you look at where it started in the comic books and it was a leotard and a headband so… oh, it’s horrible, it’s so horrible,” she went on.

“So at least they know that’s not cool. But then they made Wonder Woman, you know? And that’s what she’s in.

“I think of the costumes and what we have to wear – it’s more about iconic images, because that’s what these movies are…. I think that’s the goal with the costumes, and it’s not representing the average woman.”

Olsen has been outspoken about her participation in the “Avengers” franchise’s next edition. She turned to Instagram last month to express her dissatisfaction with an image of herself on the cover of Britain’s Empire magazine.

She asked her fans on social media, “Does this look like me?” in a post she later deleted, showing a photo of the cover.

“Empire magazine did not make any alterations to the ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ artwork, supplied to them by Disney and Marvel Studios, that appears on the May 2018 cover,” a spokesperson for the publication told TODAY Style.

Scarlet Witch, a character with the capacity to manipulate reality, first appeared in the X-Men comics in 1964 and has subsequently appeared in a number of Marvel publications.
