Even Michael B. Jordan can’t say no to another plate of pasta. During the coronavirus outbreak, the 34-year-old Black Panther actor acknowledged to developing some unhealthy behaviors.

The Hollywood hunk appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, telling the celebrity talk show host that he gained weight under quarantine as a result of eating a few more carbs than normal.

“Please tell me you at least gained the ‘quarantine 15’ like we did,” Ellen DeGeneres taunted the Friday Night Lights cast members.

He said, “I did a quarantine 10. I did a solid 10,”  referring to the 10 pounds of weight he gained.

Jordan said on Monday, “When I was bad, I would probably do — I love carbs — so I did, like, a chicken cheesesteak sub. I did pizza and pasta, so that’s kind of my trifecta that I like.”

Jordan’s usual meal plans are definitely different from the carb overload “all in one sitting,” though he doesn’t avoid those foods entirely on a regular basis. He stated, “I’ll usually do carbs earlier in the day so I can work it off. [Then] more rice and salads and vegetables and stuff like that. … I have to be [disciplined].”

But it wasn’t long before DeGeneres pressed the Without Remorse actor about having children with Lori Harvey, the daughter of TV celebrity Steve Harvey, whom he has been seeing since 2020.

The comedian joked that he’ll have to stick to the Jordan family’s formula for boys’ names.

“Your dad’s name was Michael A. Jordan,” DeGeneres added. “You’re Michael B. Jordan, so then, your son will be Michael C. Jordan?” Jordan and the crowd both laughed.

“I am breaking that cycle right there,” the 34-year-old actor answered. “It’s too much. It’s like, the pressure I had to live up to my dad’s name, and I’m not gonna put that on my kid. I’m gonna give him his own identity.”

Jordan found that cooking was a great way to pass the time during his lockdown. “I learned to make a lot of pasta dishes,” the Creed star said, adding that he would subsequently mail them to his family.

He said, “Couldn’t really see them that often. So what I would do is, late [at] night, me and my boy Bryce, we would make all these fresh pestos and … I would cook at the house. … I put them in these mason jars, put a little logo and then I would drop it off at the house.”

And although children may not be the first thing on Jordan and Harvey’s thoughts, we certainly know the actor has earned two huge thumbs up from his in-laws, as Steve Harvey enthused about Jordan during his own visit on Ellen.

“You know, I have tried not to like him,” Harvey joked to DeGeneres after admitting the Just Mercy star was dating his daughter.

Harvey proceeded to brag about his daughter’s partner, saying, “This guy is such a good guy, man. He is one of the nicest guys, man. I’ve met his father. I’ve set up with him, we’ve talked for hours. I just can’t find nothin’ wrong with him.”
