Jennifer Lawrence and James McAvoy have been friends since they first shared the screen in the X-Men franchise. Back then, the actors had to apply paint to their bodies to achieve the desired effect in the film. Jennifer Lawrence has recently opened up about some of the difficulties she faced while portraying the character of Mystique in the X-Men franchise. She revealed how James McAvoy burst into her bathroom one day with a BB gun while she was peeing in her Mystique costume.

James McAvoy is known for playing the role of a young Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men franchise, while Jennifer Lawrence had been portraying the role of the skin-changing Mystique. Thus, they were bound to meet.

During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show with Tom Holland, Jennifer Lawrence shared the hilarious situations she found herself in due to the make-up and the costume applied to her. Not to mention how McAvoy used to add to the problems as the duo joked it out on the sets of the X-Men franchise.

The video starts with Graham Norton asking Lawrence about her experience of being “back in the blue”. Jennifer Lawrence (being her) started her answer with a sarcastic comment, “Yeah, turns out they never had to do 8 hours of full-blown body paint, ever. It’s like a blue like pantyhose that goes around my whole body. That I can’t sit to pee in. Can’t do any form of bathroom. Like the guys who were made it were like ‘well, she’s a girl, she don’t go to the bathroom’.”

The Hunger Games actress continued about her bathroom trips and James McAvoy bursting in and pelting her with a BB gun.

She had worked hard to be fit for the scene and was fully prepared for it.

“So, I pee standing up…out of a funnel.”

James McAvoy starts his side of the tale with how he once barged in on Lawrence, “I actually barged in once. I’ve burst into her bathroom with a BB gun while she was trying to pee in a funnel.”

Lawrence chimed in between laughing and said, “He pelted me! It’s so hard to do because you have to stop while you’re in the middle of peeing to let the rest of it go out.”

“Like that’s a whole scientific process. And so, I’m like trying really hard like there’s a lot going on and then he bursts in and starts pelting me.”

Jennifer Lawrence is known as a fierce woman who is confident and comfortable in her own skin.

The mentioning of this hilarious yet embarrassing story is a testament to her character.
