Jamie Lee Curtis appears to be on Jake’s side in the Taylor Swift vs. Jake Gyllenhaal spat.

Curtis is being informed that it is “not the right time” to make a gushing post about her godson, Jake Gyllenhaal, following Taylor Swift’s new 10-minute rendition of “All Too Well,” which is generally assumed to be about him reportedly dumping the singer in 2010. The song gains new life as a result of the November 12, 2021 album release of Red (Taylor’s Version), which is an LP immersed in her sadness at the time.

“SIBLING REVELRY!” the 62-year-old actor commented beneath a photo of Maggie and Jake smiling together earlier this month at the 2021 LACMA Art + Film Gala. “Both of these talented people and godchildren have important work they have made this year both for @netflix.” The Knives Out star went on to list Maggie and Jake’s recent film projects. “Proud of them both,” she continued. “Excited to watch artists evolve and grow and expand. Bravo. Brava. ENCORE!”

Jamie did not mention Taylor or the song, but the timing of her post sent fans into a frenzy. People responded to the remark section with phrases like, ‘Read the room,’ and ‘Well, that is awkward.’

“Not a good time Jamie,” one person noted, while another added, “I remember them all too well,” referring to Taylor’s song, “I left my scarf there at your sister’s house/And you’ve still got it in your drawer even now,” which many fans assume is about Jake and Maggie.

‘Jamie Lee Curtis isn’t a Swiftie,’ another person said, adding, ‘Jamie, delete this.’

‘Tell him to provide the headband again,’ a remark read, which was a reference to the road in All Too Well the place Taylor mentioned that Jake nonetheless holds onto her scarf.

“No, you have the scarf,” a user replied to Jamie with laughing emojis referencing the classic line, while another joked, “The sibling that gives the scarf back wins!”

“Oh I love the timing in this. I’m a huge Taylor Swift fan, but I’m also a Maggie and Jake fan. So, I’m excited as well. Also, if it wasn’t for Jake, RED wouldn’t exist. So …,” one fan wrote in a thoughtful remark.

The renowned ballad has long been speculated to be about Swift and Gyllenhaal’s 2011 separation. According to Us Weekly, the former pair dated for three months before the Brokeback Mountain star told her it wasn’t working out. Although Swift has never stated if the song is about their brief affair, the lyrics appear to corroborate the hypothesis that Gyllenhaal inspired the song and broke her “like a promise.”

Meanwhile, Jake hasn’t reacted to the song, which is widely considered to be about him, and Maggie hasn’t responded to rumors that she still has Taylor Swift’s scarf after all these years. Maggie did, however, tell Andy Cohen in 2017, “I am in the dark about the scarf. It’s totally possible. I don’t know.”

Jake seems unconcerned about its re-release. On the day it was released, he and his sister Maggie were seen at the Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards in Los Angeles.

While Jake was at the event, Swifties rushed to Twitter to criticize him for the way he supposedly treated her throughout their relationship.

Taylor Swift has a bajillion dollars. Why does she care about the scarf at all. I’m sure she has a thousand others.

Who cares about TS’s past with JG. I could care less about their relationship or how/why it ended. It isn’t my BUSINESS and it isn’t anyone else’s either. TS can write and sing about whatever she wants but dumping on old boyfriends in her “special” way is in poor taste. Also, I don’t care if anybody agrees with me or not. If you somehow think she is a hero for singing the songs that she does the best of luck.
