Actress Salma Hayek has revealed that she went to great lengths to rid her London home of ghosts. The Eternals star described her experiences on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Hayek explained that she had only seen a few strange things happen at the property, but one of her employees had been so spooked by the activity that they no longer wanted to work there.
“I didn’t see these [ghosts], but someone didn’t want to work there anymore because the piano played by itself,” Hayek said.
“And then lights go on and off or the doors and the windows open and close. I’ve only seen some of it.”
Hayek’s daughter, Valentina, who was in the audience, told DeGeneres that she “gets it the worst.”
“I’ve seen the actual things—like twice,” Valentina said. With everyone anxious around her, Hayek decided to bring in someone to investigate.
“I said, ‘Look, I’m gonna bring somebody.’ Even if it’s not true, at least they might psychologically think it’s over. Finally, I brought the guy,” she continued.
“So, he starts going through the rooms and says, ‘There’s an old lady here and a child.’ He found like 20.”
Hayek went on to say that the investigator found a total of 20 ghosts in her home, including an old lady and a child.
The actress said that the investigator performed a ritual to cleanse the house of the spirits, which seemed to have done the trick.
“He did a ritual and he said, ‘I got rid of them all. They’re gone.’ And I haven’t seen anything since,” she said.
Hayek’s experiences with ghosts may come as a surprise to some, as the actress is best known for her roles in movies and TV shows.
However, it’s not uncommon for people to encounter paranormal activity in their own homes.
Many people believe in ghosts and the paranormal, and there are countless stories of people experiencing strange occurrences in their homes.
