Kylie Jenner has revealed that a comment made by a guy she kissed as a teenager was the catalyst for her decision to get lip fillers.

During the first part of the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” reunion special, host Andy Cohen asked Jenner if her “lips” and “insecurities around them” influenced her decision to start Kylie Cosmetics.

“For sure. I think my love for makeup started with my insecurity with my lips,” the makeup mogul replied.

According to Jenner, she first became self-conscious about the size of her lips after a guy made a comment to her as a teenager.

“I had really small lips, and I didn’t ever think about it until I had one of my first kisses and a guy said to me, ‘Oh my God, you’re such a good kisser, but you have such small lips,’ or something like that,” Jenner shared.

“From then on, I felt unkissable.”

Jenner credited this insecurity with helping her discover her love of makeup, saying, “Then I got an obsession with makeup because I would overline my lips and it just made me feel confident.”

She added that her insecurity about her lips, which was “because this guy said something to me one time,” was what led her to start Kylie Cosmetics.

This is not the first time that Jenner has spoken openly about her lip insecurities and the use of lip fillers.

In 2015, she addressed the speculation that her larger lips were the result of more than just lip liner on an episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”

At the time, she said, “It’s just an insecurity of mine and it’s what I wanted to do.”

In the years since, Jenner has become a successful makeup entrepreneur, with Kylie Cosmetics earning her a spot on the Forbes list of billionaires.

Despite this success, she has faced criticism for her involvement in the beauty industry, with some accusing her of promoting unrealistic beauty standards.

However, Jenner has consistently maintained that her makeup line is about empowering women to feel confident in their own skin.
