Tom Holland has revealed that he failed an audition for Peaky Blinders before becoming famous.
The Spider-Man: No Way Home star took part in a LadBible segment in which he guessed the results of a fan poll about him.
“What TV show would you most like to see Tom Holland in?” was asked during a Q&A session.
“I actually auditioned for Peaky Blinders and I did not get the part,” he stated.
Holland is keen to appear on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
“I actually would love to do that. I find the eating stuff really difficult, that would not be fun, but I would be alright in the small spaces and good at the athletic challenges.”
“But I also have such a short temper and I am so impatient, so I would find some of the people in there very irritating,” he said.
Tom said: “Sometimes I do really like to watch my films. I’m very proud of my work and I think they are good films. I think my friends would love to have a live commentary of how I made them but they never seem to go for it, it’s a real shame.”
From 2008 until 2010, the 25-year-old began his acting career in the West End, playing the main role in Billy Elliot the Musical at the Victoria Palace Theatre.
Since Captain America: Civil War, he has played Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero films.
In the cinematic version of Naughty Dog’s Uncharted video game franchise, he played a young Nathan Drake.
The eagerly awaited Sony Pictures adventure is based on the legendary Uncharted video game series, which has spanned nine installments.
It comes after admirers of Tom’s girlfriend Zendaya expressed their displeasure with her waxwork at Madame Tussaud’s.
It featured the actress standing with her hand on her hip in a bright pink outfit.
Zendaya’s admirers were not convinced by the waxwork.
One person wrote: “That’s not Zendaya… This looks more like a mix of Kylie Jenner and Nicki Minaj 😭.”
“How does this both look like her and look nothing like her at the same time???” wondered another.
“I can’t tell if this looks like her or not and it’s stressing me out,” one perplexed fan remarked.
