“I have a little thing for my grays, which is fine, at the ripe old age of 57,” Tomei stated, sprinkling Style Edit’s Root Cover Up Stick around her part and hairline. Marisa Tomei, who acts in Spider-Man, has revealed that she recommended that her character be LGBT.

In an interview with Geeks Of Color, the 57-year-old actress who plays Aunt May in the film said she believed her Marvel Cinematic Universe character “should just be with a woman” now that Ben (Parker) was gone.

She stated, “There was a moment where I felt that May – maybe she should just be with a woman because Ben is gone.

“And we were kind of talking about it, and so I actually really wanted Amy Pascal from Sony to be my girlfriend.

“I was like, ‘No one even has to know, Amy. I’ll just be in a scene and you’ll be over there. And I’ll just be, like, ‘Hey!’ It’ll just be a subtle thing’.

Unfortunately, her plan for a cinematic coming-out celebration was knocked down by film executives.

“No one went for it at the time,” the Oscar winner stated.

Some fans, though, appear to agree with her, with one tweeting: ‘Not gonna lie, this would’ve been awesome. We were deprived of cool lesbian aunt May and that is the biggest mistake of the entire franchise right there.’

“Actors are always trying change up scripts,” said another. “They are a writers nightmare.”

This month, the third installment of the new Spider-Man series was released in theaters.

“Spider-Man: No Way Home” broke the $1 billion mark on Sunday, making it the first and first film of 2021 to do so.

And, according to estimates, the three-day weekend brought in $81.5 million (£60,835,675).

Tom Holland reprises his role as Peter Parker in the film, which is a co-production between Sony and Marvel-Cinematic Universe owners Disney. Zendaya plays Michelle Jones Watson, better known as MJ.
