Isla Fisher, known for her role in the 2005 comedy Wedding Crashers, has expressed interest in appearing in a sequel to the film.

Wedding Crashers was a hit with both critics and audiences, and has remained one of the most well-known R-rated comedies of the 2000s.

As a result, there have been discussions about making a sequel for several years.

Fisher played the character of Gloria Cleary in the original film. When asked about the possibility of a sequel, she said, “I would love to be involved in that project. I love David Dobkin, I think my career is owed to him [by] giving me a break with that character, and she’s such a wild, out there, hilarious person that it would be fun to do that. But I have not heard. I’m as in the dark as everyone else.”

The idea for a Wedding Crashers sequel was first publicly mentioned in 2014, nearly a decade after the original film was released.

Director David Dobkin had considered having Owen Wilson’s and Vince Vaughn’s characters face off against a superior wedding crasher played by Daniel Craig, but the concept never moved beyond initial discussions.

In recent years, however, there has been renewed hope for a sequel, with both Wilson and Vaughn having reportedly “seriously” discussed the project with Dobkin.

While a sequel has not yet been officially greenlit, it seems that the chances of it happening are greater than ever.

If a sequel were to be made, it would be essential to have Wilson and Vaughn reprise their roles, as well as most or all of the supporting cast, including Fisher as Gloria Cleary.

In case it has been a while since you last watched Wedding Crashers, here is a brief recap of Fisher’s character: Gloria is immediately attracted to Vince Vaughn’s character Jeremy when they first meet.

Initially put off by her clinginess, Jeremy eventually falls in love with her and they marry at the end of the movie.

In addition to Fisher, it would be great to see other members of the cast return for a sequel, including Rachel McAdams and Christoper Walken as members of the Cleary family and Bradley Cooper as Sack Lodge, McAdams’ character Claire’s ex-fiancé.

At the moment, it is unclear when or if a Wedding Crashers sequel will be made.
