In the midst of his defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard, Johnny Depp is making some stunning claims.

During his court appearance on Wednesday (April 20), the Pirates of the Caribbean actor accused Heard of threatening to kill himself several times after they got into heated arguments.

The actor appeared in court for his continuing libel trial against his ex-wife, and said, “Ms. Heard had spoken of suicide on a couple of occasions, so that also becomes a factor.”

“That’s always something that lives in the back of your brain and that you fear.” Depp, 58, stated that everytime he attempted to leave, Heard would stop him and tell him that she would “die” if he did not return.

“Many times when I would try to leave, she would stop me at the elevator with the security guards, crying, screaming, you know, ‘I can’t live without you. I’m gonna die.’ But you had to get out,” he alleged.

“There were a couple of times when I did escape and five minutes later she would arrive at my West Hollywood home in her nightgown screaming in the parking lot in front of my house, screaming to high heavens, and it would be four o’clock in the morning,” he explained. “It was ludicrous. It was out of control, it was uncontrollable.”

“The Amber Heard I knew for the first year and a half was not this opponent, it wasn’t my girl,” Johnny said, recalling that he hoped to “bring Amber around.”

“She had become my opponent and everything I did just didn’t fit her, she didn’t accept it.”

Heard maintained a grim expression as Depp continued his testimony. She has yet to react in court to the most recent claims.

Depp is suing Heard for $50 million in defamation in Fairfax, Virginia, for a 2018 op-ed she penned for the Washington Post on surviving domestic abuse.

Despite the fact that Amber did not name Johnny or go into detail about the alleged assault, the post was widely circulated. She responded with a counterclaim for $100 million.

The actor claimed he never hit her and is suing to “clear my name.”

“My goal is the truth. One day you’re Cinderella and then in zero point six seconds you’re Quasimodo. I didn’t deserve that and neither did my children,” he said. “Never did I myself reach the point of striking Ms. Heard in any way, nor have I ever struck any woman in my life.”

Depp later accused Heard for slicing the top of his right middle finger in 2015 during his testimony.

Depp claims she flung the vodka bottle across the wall when she caught him drinking. The actor said he reached for a larger bottle of vodka with a handle and poured another shot, provoking her to toss that bottle as well, which smashed.

“I felt heat and I felt as if something were dripping down my hand and then I looked down and realized that the tip of my finger had been severed,” Johnny remembered. “I was looking directly at my bone sticking out and the meaty portion of the inside of your finger and blood was just pouring out. At that point, I think that I went into some sort of… I don’t know what a nervous breakdown feels like, but that is probably the closest I’ve ever been.”
