After the premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home earlier this week, Tom Holland couldn’t help but cry.

Holland was walking the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of the new Spider-Man film when he became overcome with emotion and started crying as he spoke with fans who had gathered around the venue to see their hero. The touching moment was captured on video and photographed and quickly went viral.

On Monday, December 13, Holland was joined by Zendaya, and other cast members for the glamarous event.

Tom was spotted going to his car after the premiere, but paused to interact with a group of admirers waiting outside the theater. However, the actor appeared to be overcome with emotion and tearing up before he could speak. He wiped his tears away, spoke to the spectators, and then walked away.

After the movie, Twitter user @REDACTEDSpider posted a photo of Holland in his tuxedo, sobbing up as he stared out into the audience.

Despite the fact that the majority of the audio on the video is made of fan applause, Holland is believed to have addressed the audience as he left the event and remarked, “I love you so much.”

A few fans rushed to Twitter to express their feelings on the situation. “Tom Holland crying after the screening of Spider-Man nwh, my heart is literally shattering,” a fan said. “Mentally preparing for Spider-Man: No Way Home to wreck me tomorrow. Tom Holland crying at the premiere does not bode well for me,” another fan added. “Tom Holland crying after the premiere just confirms that its gonna hurt,” a third Twitter user wrote.

Tom Holland has been a huge fan of Spider-Man since his first appearance in Captain America: Civil War in 2016. The young man has done everything he can to hype up everything that’s coming in his third solo appearance, and he routinely expresses how much fun he’s had portraying the role over the previous five years.

Positive reviews have been received for Spider-Man: No Way Home. Many critics have hailed it as the “best Spider-Man film” of Tom Holland’s trilogy.

With Spider-Man’s identity known, Peter asks Doctor Strange for assistance in the movie. When a spell goes awry, Peter is forced to learn what it means to be Spider-Man against frightening opponents from other planets.

Spider-Man: No Way Home also stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Marissa Tomei, and Jon Favreau, in addition to Tom and Zendaya. Alfred Molina, Willem Dafoe, and Jamie Foxx return as Spider-Man from earlier films.
