Rumors of a romance between Katie Holmes and Django Unchained star Jamie Foxx have been circulating for years, and US gossip site Radar Online believes it understands why they haven’t confirmed it yet.
According to a recent report, the 37-year-old’s divorce agreement specifies that she cannot openly date anybody for five years after her divorce from Tom Cruise.
“Katie signed a clause in her quickie divorce settlement that prevents her from embarrassing Tom in various ways, like talking about him or Scientology, or publicly dating another man for five years after the divorce,” the insider told the outlet.
“She’s allowed to date, but she cannot do so in a public fashion, and she’s not supposed to let any boyfriend near their daughter, Suri,” they continued.
According to the source, Katie promised to keep her romantic life quiet in order for the divorce to be completed promptly.

“Katie wanted out of the marriage so badly, she agreed to the terms — and got $4.8 million in child support, plus another $5 million for herself.”
So, if Katie announces a new relationship before the end of 2017, she stands to lose around $10 million. We’ll have to wait until next year for a major announcement.
After five years of marriage, the actress, who shares 10-year-old Suri with Tom, startled the world when she filed for divorce from the 54-year-old in June 2012.
In terms of her love life, the mother-of-one has never spoken about it, and she recently snubbed queries about it with a firm “That’s not something I want to answer!”
Instead, she says she hopes to remarry one day.
“I’m a very loving person,” she told People magazine, “Of course I’m open to finding love again.”
Katie and Jamie were first seen dancing together at a charity in The Hamptons in August 2013, and rumours appeared two months later saying they were more than pals.
This year, Holmes was seen cheering Foxx on during a performance by Barbra Streisand in New York before joining him in the dressing area.
