Angelina Jolie walked the red carpet for the “Eternals” premiere at the Rome Film Festival on Sunday, looking lovely in a silver metal mesh Atelier Versace gown.

She posed with her two gorgeous kids, Zahara and Shiloh. Unfortunately, the discussion surrounding the star’s red carpet look did not stop there. Because when she turned to the side, Jolie’s hair extensions were noticeably uneven, prompting some to question whether the “fail” wasn’t truly a deliberate style that didn’t work out.

The 46-year-old actress wore waist-length hair extensions to the occasion, but it appears that they were not correctly put. Her original hair hung below her shoulders, and the sloppy placement of the extensions made it evident that the hair wasn’t real and was simply extensions.

It didn’t take long for the 46-year-old star’s mane mishap to go viral on social media.

“Who put the extensions to my queen Angelina Jolie? They need to be fired,” one Twitter user stated. “The dress is perfection but did one of the children get angry and take a scissors to her hair in the middle of the night,” said another. “Where is the loyalty? Who let Angelina Jolie leave the house with these extensions? ” said another. WTF happened?: was the overwhelming consensus on Twitter, Instagram, and even TikTok.

“Whoever did Angelina’s hair extensions must be a friend of Jennifer’s,” one said, referring to the long-rumored enmity between Jolie and Jennifer Aniston, who was married to Brad Pitt before he and the “Maleficent” actress became acquainted.

The layers of hair pouring down Angie’s back were difficult to miss.

‘Now, I’m no hairdresser but whoever did #AngelinaJolie’s hair extensions did it wrong and/or drunk,’ @ElleEmSee wrote.

Even “Vanderpump Rules” alum Stassi Schroeder got involved. “Before I say goodnight, I’d like to know who decided to give this queen unblended extensions,” she said on her Instagram Story on Sunday night, beside a snap of Jolie’s hair. “Okay, what I’m truly asking is who is fired right now?”

Dafina Smith, CEO and Founder of Covet & Mane, believes the hefty layer was unintentional. “It would have been more exaggerated or architectural a la Edward Scissorhands if it was intentional,” she tells STYLECASTER. “I think that perhaps when she originally styled the hair, it was smoothed into the extensions with heat and product. Perhaps the humidity allowed her hair to separate from the extensions. Another culprit could be if she decided to get a last-minute trim. Fresh ends don’t always cooperate with extensions if they are not point cut.”
