Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner dated for a brief, wonderful interval in 2009, allowing us all the chance to bask in the notion of Taylor, squared.

Fans have theorized for years that Swift’s 2010 album Speak Now’s song “Back to December” was about Lautner—the couple split up just a few months before it was released after igniting a relationship on the set of the film Valentine’s Day—and now we have proof from the Twilight star himself.

Lautner did a Facebook Live video with his Scream Queens co-stars Lea Michele and John Stamos, who brought up Lautner’s previous relationships.

Taylor Lautner first claims he has no idea what co-star Lea Michele is talking about when she brings it up.

Michele pressed him to disclose the information to the public. “Didn’t she write a song about you?”

“You dated Taylor Swift, I remember that,” Michele says to Lautner. The actor responds with a smile, saying that he doesn’t want to talk about it. However, the former Glee star presses him on the topic. “Didn’t she write a song about you?” the singer-actress asks. “I think it’s something about a sweater and a hat, right?” Michele continues to take a stab at guessing the tune. “It’s like, your hat in December,” she asks before Lautner finally gives in with a response. “It’s called ‘Back to December,” he says.

The upside of sharing his feelings about Taylor Swift for Lautner? Stamos, who confessed that he was once the subject of a former flame’s music, Paula Abdul’s “Cold-Hearted Snake,” discovered a kindred spirit in the actor.

The lyrics to Back To December fit the brief better.

“I miss your tan skin, your sweet smile. I’d go back to December, turn around and make it all right. I go back to December all the time.”
